My 9 year old said she loved it! I gave it a try to see what the fuss was , I found it wasn’t very sweet but apart from that it was nice.I liked that it wasn’t sugary seeing as my daughter liked them

My eldest wasn’t very keen on it. She said it tasted funny. But my other two. Wow they ate it fast and asked for more. I have bought a few and have them in the house as a bribe when I want their rooms clean.
I think it was the texture of the rice my eldest didn’t like. She is a fussy eater.

These were scoffed down by my lot of boys (5 boys) as soon as they arrived, not all of them got one but they shared and loved them, so I’ll have to buy more as they were a winner in our house, I was told they tasted great!

These were great – the flavour was really nice and the texture was great. I can polish one of these off no problem but I found them to be a bit big for smaller kids. However on saying that I will (and already have) buy them again. I just have to finish the leftovers (no complaints!!)

My kids love anything in a pottle so this was a great treat for them! It is easy for them to eat like yoghurt but is much more filling. Definitely a winner in our house!

We received a pack of these to try, Miss 9 & Mr 12 both enjoyed it somewhat but the 12yr old wasn’t as keen on it so I managed to try some & I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wasn’t too sweet & is very handy to have as a ‘throw in the bag’ option if you’re running out the door & need to keep the kids occupied. We’ll be buying these again absolutely

My 4.5 son Lucas was excited to hear the words “Choccie rice snack pot” and to his delight I planted the pot in front of his nose. He initially struggled a bit with the tightly sealed lid but got there in the end. He tasted, chewed a little, looked to the side and decided he did not want any more. My 2 year old son Riley was hesistant to try it altogether. I decided to heat it up in the microwave for 45 seconds and they could try it warm. Lucas was willing to try again. Had a taste but pushed the pot away, deciding he did not want any more. Riley (2) scrunched his little nose up in disgust.

Thanks for choosing us to try these out. My son couldn’t wait to try them as he’d never had them before . Anything with chocolate is a winner for him. I would say he really enjoyed it . He wasn’t able to finish it all off as it’s quite filling (I ended up eating the rest). He certainly had a lot of energy afterwards as he was running around the house more than usual. I would say good to have if you have a busy day and need them to have the energy to keep up with you 🙂

Thanks for these samples to try. My children were very excited to try these, however neither of them liked the taste and didn’t finish the full pot. From my point of view they were a good size and a good alternative to yoghurt in a convenient pot. Although, we are trying to go plastic free so a recommendation would be to find an alternative to the plastic packaging.

Thanks for allowing us to try these. Both my girls ate them up quickly but when I asked whether it was nice my eldest said no. I managed to try the left over sauce in the pot and think it’s because it wasn’t sweet enough for her sweet tooth! Miss 5 however, enjoyed it and as she also loves rice (eldest doesn’t) I think it’s a great treat for her. Though my son isn’t technically old enough for the trial at 1 he tried a bit and LOVED it! His sweet tooth is just starting to show so I think these will be perfect to buy for him when he’s a bit older before he gets ducked into the really sweet stuff. I think they’re a good size for my bigger girls and a good treat for after dinner.

Thanks for the chance to review these! I really liked the taste and texture, and they weren’t too sweet. Our little man seemed to like having a couple of spoonfuls but that was it, so it would be helpful if you could get these in smaller sizes as we ended up having to chuck the uneaten half out. It may be a better size for older kids e.g. 5+ years.

This was delicious! My husband took one to work and the kids shared one after i had a sneaky taste! Love that is has reduced sugar and is the perfect size for a adult snack and almost a meal for the toddler! Great they come in a 2 pack and easy to open! No can opener needed, we don’t have this flavour at our local supermarket yet but they are a great price at $2.49 we got the ones with peaches for lunches this week!

Thanks for the opportunity to review Aunt Betty’s Creamy Rice Cacao Flavour. My three and six year old girls had this cold as a snack at home during the school holidays. They had mixed feelings about the taste. Both quite liked the the cacao flavour. I thought it had the right balance of sweetness and chocolate flavour. The flavour reminded me a little of chocolate dairy milk style yoghurt. I definitely liked the reduced sugar content and also its calcium content. It was a slightly runnier consistency than I was expecting. Unfortunately neither of them were very fussed on the texture of the creamy rice (but actually neither of them are particularly fond of rice full stop come to think of it!). I thought this was a fairly generous serving size for kids. If I were to include it in lunchboxes I would probably split it into a smaller size container to ensure it all got eaten as neither kid is a very big eater. Also thinking my three year old would definitely need some help to open this packaging if it was in her lunch. I liked the twin pack size, and also the design of the outer cardboard packaging – bonus points for it being recyclable, I would like to try this in vanilla and coconut flavour versions, as this was the first time any of us had tried creamed rice snacks.

  14. Canne 04/08/2018 at 6:43 pm

Unfortunately these were not a hit with miss 7 and miss 4. They didn’t like the texture or flavour. I thought they looked great and would be a great snack for school lunchboxes. A perfect serving size

  15. Moongurl 03/08/2018 at 7:17 pm

We’re we even given the opportunity to trial these? Who knows, they were gone within moments! My son absolutely devoured and enjoyed them immensely. Would 100% repurchase. Thank you!

  16. Mrsbplus3 03/08/2018 at 9:00 am

Thank you for the opportunity to trial this product unfortunately they were not a hit in our house all three kids were not fussed on the texture and after recovering a week from being sick the cacao taste was a bit over powering .overall they were a good size and fantastic that they single serve

  17. strawberryfields44 02/08/2018 at 6:08 pm

We are very grateful to have been chosen for this product trial.

I have a fussy 7 year old who doesn’t like certain food textures so it was going to be a bit of trial and error with her. She didn’t mind the flavour to start with however the rice texture won over and she stopped eating part way through. My 12 year old enjoyed it though and quite enjoyed the flavour.

Thanks again for the opportunity 🙂 It’s a great product for all ages and especially for people or kids on the go.

We were given the opportunity to trial this yummy new Aunt Bettys Chocolate Creamy Rice with Cacao. I was a bit unsure what the kids would think as we had previously tried a couple other flavours and they weren’t really fans of them but I needn’t have worried, the cocoa was a huge hit with miss 4 and miss 1. As soon as it was finished they both wanted more. We had previously tried another brand of chocolate creamy rice however they said that it was too bitter and weird tasting. They loved this brand though so we hunted it out at the supermarket. Our local pak n save didn’t have it but we found it at countdown. They are a great size for lunchbox and easy for miss 4 to open as she starts school next week. We will definitely keep buying these.

  19. Amfagan 01/08/2018 at 7:57 pm

It was a big hit in our household the kids loved it, i gave to it my school aged children in their school lunch boxes they ate it all up and asked me if we could get more.
they loved that it was chocolate but not to rich in flavour and it easy to open.
thank you so much for allowing us to trial this wonderful product.

  20. nwoodford 01/08/2018 at 12:59 pm

Thanks for the opportunity to trial these. The first pottle was not a success – 2 and 5 year old tried it after they’d been unwell, however I think the flavour was too strong for recovering taste buds. My husband however loved it and wanted to eat the other pottle too. I managed to stop him and the kids tried the other pottle last night for dessert. My 2 year old enjoyed it and asked for more “chocolate pudding”! My 5 year also devoured it. Was great for an after dinner treat. The sugar content was less than 7% so great for not too much sugar before bed. It would be nice for a lunchbox treat, however my 5 year old was unable to peel the seal off the pottle so if it were to go in his lunchbox I would have to scoop it out into another container before putting it into his lunch box. So that makes it less than ideal for a lunchbox item, however I will probably give it a try occasionally. Is great that can be microwaved easily to serve warm, although we didnt try it heated – it didnt last long enough in our household!
Overall a tasty product and I will buy them in the future for my family.

I gave this to my 3 year old as a after dinner treat, the words out of his mouth were “i love it”. I like how its not too sweet and its a little nutritious hidden as a treat! thank you Aunt Betty’s!

  22. Tinaj 31/07/2018 at 5:49 pm

Thank you for the opportunity to review this product. Mr 3 and I did not enjoy this. Found the flavour a little strange and the texture wasnt very nice.

  24. AmandaB 30/07/2018 at 8:47 pm

Thanks for the opportunity to trial this product. My four year old was excited to try out the new creamed rice. However found the chocolate flavour too strong and only had a few spoonfuls. My husband sampled some also and thought it was great so mixed reviews from our household!

  25. IceKiwi 30/07/2018 at 3:10 pm

Thanks so much for the chance to trial this product.
This was very delicious my biggest creamed rice fan found this too rich and sweet for her liking even though it has way less sugar now, I think its that chocolate itself is sweet so she found the pottle was too much for a sitting.
The texture and flavour was great though and I like that the sugar content has been decreased.
Two out of four kids asked for me to buy it again but the overall consensus was that vanilla is still number one.
If you love chocolate and rice pudding I’m sure you will enjoy this as a tasty treat and its a great change from yoghurt.

  26. crank 30/07/2018 at 12:45 pm

These are so convenient! I can just throw one in the lunch boxes with a spoon and snack = done 🙂 My son who’s a creamed rice fan had one of these and liked the flavour. He said he preferred the other Aunt Betty’s varieties though (peach or apple). I missed breakfast the other day and needed a quick an easy snack to get me through the morning, so I nabbed one of these for myself. The texture is a little odd when you’re not used to creamed rice but I liked the chocolate flavour – it was a bit like chocolate dairy food. Definitely love that it’s low in sugar so I can have these without the guilt.

We all (DH, Myself and DD 11 years and DD 9 years) loved Aunt Bettys Chocolate Creamy Rice snack. I’m not usually a fan of creamed rice but I found it really easy to eat and not to sweet or gluggy. Both of my girls said they definitely want to have it again so it will end up on my shopping list.
The size was great, really compact so easy to pop in the school bag, or my hand bag 🙂
    Thanks

We were so excited to review this product and to potentially have another option for lunch boxes. However, unfortunately, we didn’t enjoy the flavour. Possibly a vanilla could be nicer but the cacao had an odd, slightly tangy flavour.
The consistency was standard for creamed rice and the quantity was great. Sad to say the flavour was the downer. Thanks for the opportunity kidspot!

  29. clloyd 27/07/2018 at 4:26 pm

Thanks for the Aunt Betty creamed rice samples! I tried this with my 3 year old plus 2 pre-school care children. My son loved the chocolate look but didn’t seem to like the flavour much & only ate a little bit unfortunately. (I think it’s just that he is used to the original vanilla). However my care kids loved it. I will try again with my son as he is slow to get used to new foods & I like this as a pre-school lunchbox idea as a change from yoghurt. It is a good size & I assume the packs can be recycled? Thanks Kidspot!

    This stuff is delicious!
I gave to my school aged son for his lunches and my young daughter had it as a lunch time snack
However I definitely had to share it with her as it’s amazing!
It’s not over powering in chocolate flavour and it is a great way to get some grains into kids who need lots of fuel for the constant energy they burn during the day.
Packaging is good however could definitely view better ways to pack with so much focus on disposable plastic these days.
Good sized not too big so no wattage which is always a great thing when feeding kids.
    Thanks so much!
