The team at My Food Bag have just launched Bargain Box Choice, giving Kiwi families more choice in their meal-kit options.
Bargain Box Choice delivers family favourite recipes at bargain prices, with everything you need delivered to your door by New Zealand’s cheapest meal-kit – and now with added choice for those fussier family members.
What type of food can I typically expect in a Bargain Box Choice delivery?
Every week you can choose from eight recipes packed with goodness that will make you go WHOA! The amazing Bargain Box chefs and taste testers create meals the whole fam will love. They’re packed with plenty of veggies (perfect for growing bodies!), have easy-to-follow instructions, and are super tasty, too!
There will be a selection of proteins to choose from each week i.e. some chicken dinners, some beef etc. as well as two vegetarian meals.
Bargain Box chicken and eggs are free-range, they use sustainably caught fish, and source as many veggies and other ingredients as possible from local suppliers.
Bargain Box Choice options
Bargain Box Choice is available for three, four, or five nights per week and comes in three sizes:
Serves 2: Great for a couple, or 2 adults with a young child
Serves 4: Feeds 4 adults/teens, or 2 adults and 3 kids
Serves 6: Feeds 6 adults/teens, or great for big families

My family would love the bargain box we stayed with my sister and she had ordered a bargain box and my children enjoyed it my son has autism and is very hard to introduce new foods to him, but my daughters 15 and 11 will try anything so my husband and I and our daughters will enjoy the ideas that bargain box will bring so we would like the 4 person box please preferably for 5 nights

I would love to join this product trial for our family of 4! I really don’t mind any of the day options as any help with meals to keep the little ones happy would be much appreciated! I have a two girls aged 4 and 6 – I think it would be wonderful for them to get involved in the unpacking of the food and even the preparation of the meals! We would love to trial the 4 person bargain box as I have always been curious but unsure as to whether it would work within our budget.
We would love to trial bargain box, have seen so much about them online and miss 6 & 4 love to help in the kitchen and I’m sure they would be able to help prepare these with some help. Would love to try the 4 person box for our family of 5 for any number of nights. 5 would be a dream as that’s one less thing I would need to worry about during the week.

Would be amazing to trial Bargain Box’s 4 Person Box (5 Night Trial if option available). We have very busy lifestyles & often struggle with making good & healthy meal choices when it comes to dinners given our working lives are so hectic. We like variety & good tasty recipes. I would love to trial this. I have never tried bargain box as I was worried there were some meals my children would not eat. Having the ability to choose which meals we get each week would be great. My children aged 11 and 8 are pretty good eaters so would try most things. I would love to have the decision of what to make for dinner and “do I have the ingredients” taken away. Oh gosh I would LOVE to review this would be amazing this time of year with 2 girls playing netball different nights of the week and having to race there after school. We would love to give the 4 person Bargain Box a go! I have one very fussy eater, as he’s on the spectrum it is hard to get things like veges (which he really truly hates) into him. As a result our menus are pretty standard and getting boring. I would love some creative new ideas to spice up our menu and hopefully get some goodness in to the kids.

I/we would love to trial this!! I have wondered for a wee while now but have been committing to it. Definitely probably wouldn’t get round to buying it for ages yet cos I am probably at the gotta try before I start buying on this type of service/product… I would love to see the quality and quantity vs costs and how fresh it is when I get it at the door. It is just just the 2 of us (my daughter and I) and I would love to go for the 5 days to get a real perspective how it fits/improves the teatime routine and how much healthier and what the waste is; the environment and financial benefits of doing meals this way. We are a family of 3 – my husband, my 11 month old and I. We have tried hellofresh and are aware of it’s advantages and disadvantages. Would be a great opportunity to try Bargain Box and give genuine, useful feedback. I love the idea of meals packed and planned by a trusted company that are healthy and yum!
I would love to try the box for 4. We have 2 adults & 2 teenage boys in our house who are becoming less inclined to eat mums meals & more inclined to get themselves some junk food instead. I would love for them to choose meals they like & learn to cook them for themselves. Valuable like skills & healthier options 🙂
I’d love to try the 4 person box. I have 3 young kids 5,7,8 they love helping in the kitchen even if it’s just making a mess. I’d love to keep their excitement up and what better way than a box of goodies to make.
This would be awesome to try. A new thing to try different food for my kids and the ease of not needing to figure out what to make for dinner. We would love the 4 person box. A friend uses this all the time and raves about it.
I would love for my fam bamz to experience this trial. Good way to get the kids active in the kitchen and hone in on their mathematical, reading and problem solving skills in a fun way that they would enjoy by tasting what their efforts made. Would love the option to feed 6 😊
I would love to be considered for this trial. Having to choose what to do for dinner each night is stressful and my 2 boys can be quite fussy so i’m always looking for new things to add into their diets to change things up a bit instead of having the same old boring things.
