Just jumping back in to say we LOVE these flavours and have officially converted. With the hot weather we’ve been stocking up on ice blocks and Splash has become a family favourite. The kids are hooked on the lemonade and blackcurrent flavour and also really like the way the colours blend together to make a cool pattern. Hubby is addicted to the Strawberry Jambo so our freezer is currently stocked with Popsicles.

Really flavoursome and a great way to cool down with this hot weather, these are now a summer staple in our home!

Thanks again Kidspot and Tip Top!

I waited until it got really warm to try these and they delivered. Miss 8 loved them. I was a bit hesitate – not sure really what flavour “splash” is. the next issue was the packaging was white inside the box which was a bit uninspiring. I liked the flavour – although it definitely tasted like a processed popsicle like I had when I was a child. Very sweet was hubby’s view – in fact too sweet for him. All in all I would give them a 4/5 – 80% hit rate in our house and now they are all gone. Next time I will try another flavour

I give Tip Top Popsicle Splash 5 stars.

We got the Popsicle Splash pack, the kids loved them! We had some super hot days in the past few weeks, and these have been a godsend when the kids are hot and bothered. Very refreshing. Will def be purchasing these over summer.

Couldn’t find the Jambo anywhere to try it. We bought the splash after finding it at supermarket number 3, which we all enjoyed, as it was refreshing and the flavour combo delicious although the kids reckoned they had this one earlier in the year. Cheers for the opportunity

Thanks so much for the opportunity to try these Tip Top Popsicle flavours. Apologies for the delay in the write up, we had some difficulty sourcing the blocks, but eventually we got our hands on the Tip Top Splash variety. My kids love lemonade Popsicles and they both enjoy Apple/Blackcurrant juice, so I figured this combo of Lemonade and Blackcurrant would go down a treat. I was totally right. My eldest said that generally she wouldn’t pick a Popsicle to have (she is a huge Tip Top Choc Bar fan and we always have a box of those in the freezer for her). However, she said the flacour was good, not too sweet and very refreshing.

My youngest thought that the colour was fun. It has a almost blue/purple look to it. She also found the Popsicle really yummy and refreshing with the muggy days we have recently had. I really liked the taste as well and was happy to see Tip Top’s work to use natural ingredients continuing with these. I know a lot of people feel really strongly about this, and it’s a great direction for the company. They still make delicious desserts, and that’s the main thing for me. However, not having to be too worried about what my kids are eating when they ask for one on a hot afternoon is great too. We can’t wait to find a box of Strawberry Jambo to try as well.

Sorry review taken so long this in part has to do with the mission we went on to find the splash product we were picked for.. 3 different supermarkets and not one had them, 2 weeks later and finally found somewhere that stocked them.
The anticipation for these was huge I remember absolutely loving Splash popsicles when I was younger….I’m sure they were called something else? Anyway I was so excited for my 3 boys to try them with me….unfortunately for us it’s a mehhh…I’m not sure if it’s just me but they didnt taste like how i remembered and to look at they were alot lighter in colour.
All 3 of my boys said they were ok but nothing to get too excited over and actually preferred the regular popsicle minis we buy in the 20 pack.
Portion wise having 10 in a pack was perfect it meant the boys got to have 3 each and 1 left over for me and pricing wise they are very reasonable considering they are full sized ice blocks. Am definitely keen to try the other new one but sadly I dont think I’ll buy Splash again.

These were a hit with our 3 girls + they’re 3 uncles and aunt.
All 7 kids enjoyed them, with ages ranging between 1-13years old. We had to try 3 different supermarkets just to get our box – so they must be very popular.

Out of 10 the kids gave taste a 8/10, colour 10/10 packaging was 7/10 (the younger lot thought it was like a surprise ice block 😂) , size 10/10z

Overall, they are the perfect treat for children & adults on a hot summers day.
Can’t wait to go out and buy a box of the strawberry flavour!

The weather was so hot it warranted the partaking of a cool treat to keep everyone feeling relieved and also the fact it was the last day of kura (school) which was celebrated at the Te Moana Nui A Kiwa pools in Mangere. We had both the Jambo and Splash popsicles to share out as they were a bargain from pak n save which worked out to be only 49c per iceblock and ten per pack. Those that particularly indulge in eating strawberries opted for the Jambo flavour who oohed and aahed at the taste commenting it was not too sweet but just right. Those that chose the splash who yummed and yayed at the colour and refreshing flavour commented that it was like licking a frozen blackcurrant drink. Taste buds were satisfied, body temps were restored, enjoyed by older and younger members of the group and the fact that this is a product so affordable a few more boxes were purchased on the way home to be kept for later.

    We love these ice blocks!
Initially we had trouble finding them… the supermarkets in our area didn’t have them, so that was frustrating! Finally though, we were able to redeem our voucher.
The packaging for these ice blocks is very attractive and eye catching. The info I needed to know (such as what is in them and how many there are) was really clear.
It states that there are only natural colours and flavours – so I decided to have a look what was in them. First ingredient: water. Second: sugar (12.8g per ice block). Then I came across numbers (415 and 466) as the thickeners. (xantham gum and cellulose gum). Not too bad really. I was also really surprised that what gave these ice blocks their colour, is anthocyanin (what occurs naturally in plants, and what gives red, purple and blue plants their colouring), and turmeric!
The kids were keen as mustard to try these out – what a treat!. And yummy they were. I sort of expected them to be like smoothie consistency, but they are just like a regular ice block. The flavour was really nice and smooth.
We also did a little test on it. With other ice blocks, you can suck all the juices out, and be left with a ‘white’ looking ice block, which then tasted plain. We did this with these, and they didn’t do this at all!
I also like that they were slow to melt.
And I love the fact that there are wooden ice block sticks too!
Another good thing is that there are 10 in a box – that is fantastic for a family of 5.
We will definitely be getting these again on a special occassion.
Thanks for allowing us the opportunity to review these.

The kids gave the Strawberry Jambo popsicle a 10 out of 10, and enjoyed them as shown in our pic shared. They said it wasn’t too sweet and that the colour was good, must have something to do with being made in NZ with natural colour and flavours. They have been enjoying one each for the last three days. Time to include a box with my next lot of grocery shopping. Thank you.

  12. Lornamoa 18/12/2018 at 6:42 pm

My 3 kids and I loved the lemonade and black currant popsicle splash after a really hot bike ride home from school. It was a tasty treat to cool down with and the kids loved the colours, (I loved that it’s natural food colouring). Even my 2 1/2 year old finished his ice block with out too much mess.

  13. crank 17/12/2018 at 3:45 pm

We got a box of the Popsicle Splash Popsicles with lemon and blackcurrant flavour. My son and I had one as a treat one hot afternoon. They were great for cooling us off. I wasn’t sure about the flavour to start with as it doesn’t taste like any other iceblock that I have had but it really grew on me and I can’t see the box lasting long! The Popsicle didn’t melt quickly, even though it was 30 degrees, so it wasn’t dripping everywhere and was a pleasure to eat. We will be stocking up on these when we are away camping as an easy way to cool off with some nice refreshment.

    Hi Team,
It has been a mission waiting for our local supermarkets to start stocking these delicious treats but at last we have been able to purchase the Popsicle Strawberry Jambo, currently this is the only one available at our local supermarkets but while we waited for them to come in stock I went to the local dairy and bought the children each the Popsicle Splash. Most dairies have both flavours in stock so if your after a treat on a hot day they are the best place to find individual ones.
Popsicle Splash is the favourite in our family all four of my children loved it, we love the blackcurrent lemonade flavour and found this the least sweetest of the two. The kids said this was so delicious.
Although we loved the instant hit of strawberry smell you get as you open the Jambo the kids found this slightly on the sickly sweet side and a bit artificial strawberry tasting for their liking.
Definitely purchasing these again as the iceblocks are a great size and as a 10 pack it means there are enough for them to get two each. We have loved cooling down and enjoying these treats.

Well the hawkes bay finally got summer and the kids and I got to try our Popsicle Splash 🙂 YUM YUM and so refreshing 🙂 Perfect number of popsicles too for a family of 5… 10 in the pack and such a nice treat on a summers day 🙂

  16. Mummyof3 15/12/2018 at 4:02 pm

We grabbed a packet of the blackcurrant and lemonade iceblocks and they were delicious. Very refreshing and even the two year old ate the whole thing up! I really liked the change from plain lemonade iceblocks and we’ll definitely be stocking up again for summer. Will try the strawberry ones next as the whole family love strawberries so hopefully they have a true flavour to them. They were very easy to find in the supermarket and both flavours were available and they were on special for less than $5 a box which makes them good value for my 3 kids. Thanks for letting us try them.

  17. Jubes 15/12/2018 at 3:07 pm

Thanks for the chance to trial these yummy ice blocks! Miss 7 chose strawberry as its her favourite fruit and flavour. Firstly we found them difficult to find in supermarkets, hense the late reveiw. We were happy to finally find them in our New World. So all 3 kids liked them and thought they were delicious. Their comments were the initial “mmmmm” and “these are so good mum! Can we get them again?” So I asked afew questions to get a better reveiw. They said they were nice because they tasted like real strawberries, not fake flavour. They liked the colour of them and said they were not too sweet. They were a good size, and left them feeling refreshed which is great as we have had some hot days. I tried one too because they sounded sooo good, and I have to agree with my kids! I think the price of them is very reasonable for a box of 10 and will be great to have on hand at home in the freezer over summer. Thanks again, we will now be regular buyers of these ice blocks with natural colours and flavours!

We tried the strawberry Jambo flavour. These were a big hit with my two children. They loved the flavour. I tried one and found they were a pleasant flavour. Not too sweet which I find ice blocks can be sometimes. My biggest issue was actually finding them in the supermarket. Tried multiple supermarkets multiple times before I found them. They appeared in my regular supermarket about the third or fourth time I looked for them so maybe they were just a bit too new and were not stocked originally. These were a definite hit and I will get more when I am looking for a nice flavoured ice block to cool off in summer.

We were very excited new Splash Tip Top Popsicle’s with blackcurrant and lemonade flavors. It is a tradition in our house to start the summer school holidays with a iceblock or icecream after school. While the weather was not very warm this year, the ice block was very tasty and refreshing. My 7 year old said you could see the flavor in the splash design on the ice block. My 3 year old said it was yummy. I will have to try the Strawberry Jambo too next time I go shopping. As both products looked appealing. I would recommend this product to friends and family.

Thanks for the opportunity to try these ice blocks. We tried the Strawberry Jambo first, they are incredibly bright colored to look at and very “Strawberry” to taste, I thought maybe a little too strong in flavor. My children of 4 and 7 however thought they were delicious, and have been asking almost daily if they may have another! We have now also tried the Splash. As a comparison we found the flavor more subtle, but also more complex. Lemonade and Blueberry does have a more sour note, but it is definitely the more preferred flavor in our household. As the weather warms up, these are going to be our go to delicious and refreshing summer treats.

We tried the Strawberry Jambo, what a hit they were with our 5 boys, a little big for our 2.5year old twins but perfect for the 5, 6, and 9 year olds! Just sweet enough and very refreshing, so good in fact we went back and bought a pack of the Splash, even yummier! Thanks for allowing us to sample and review the TipTop Iceblocks!

  22. pamperkins 11/12/2018 at 9:36 pm

It took ages to find these in store but once we got them the kids couldn’t wait to get into them. We tried the Splash flavour which was yummy. The kids enjoyed sucking on these after paddling in the pool in the heat. We’re keen to try the Strawberry flavour next time.

  23. KellyCarr 11/12/2018 at 9:03 pm

Thank you for choosing us for the trial. We tried the strawberry Jambo Popsicle on a beautiful hot summers day. Our kids loved them they are a great size, tasted exactly like strawberry, lovely and refreshing on a hot day exactly what the kids needed to cool down.

  24. Robynpouw 11/12/2018 at 8:36 pm

Thank you so much for coming us to try the popsicle splash ice blocks.
The blackcurrant and lemonade flavors really hot the sport and we enjoyed these on one of our very got days recently. Perfect way to cool down and I think I’ll be trying the Jambo ones soon too!!

  25. rachlouise 11/12/2018 at 8:29 pm

These ice blocks are delicious and a treat for the whole family. My 2 year old daughter loves them. We got the splash ones and they were such a hit! I love how they are made in nz and contain natural colours and flavours

  26. Gillwat 11/12/2018 at 8:16 pm

We were very excited to be picked to review the new tip top popsicle Splash and Strawberry Jambo iceblocks. We were unable to find them at our local shop so had to go on a special trip to find them. So when we did we grabbed both flavours to try.
They were an instant hit with my 3 young boys. They loved both the flavours. I loved the splash myself lovely black currant and lemonade flavour was so refreshing. It reminds me of a similar ice block I loved as a child. Strawberry was a big hit too just the right flavour my boys said. We will be grabbing some more boxes next time we are able to find them.

  27. mikekarlee 11/12/2018 at 7:47 pm

We were waiting for a hot summer day to try our Strawberry Jambo Popsicle, but the way the weather has been recently we couldn’t resist waiting any longer. The kids loved it. So refreshing, sweet and cold. They enjoyed the strawberry flavour. My husband and I were reminded of a Tip Top Strawberry Toppa icecream with the same kind of strawberry flavour. All though us adults found it quite sweet we could just imagine on a hot summer’s day that this would be a perfect treat for our whole family to cool down.
