I have now used all bags and happy with the product, the smell did last a few says which was great, didn’t rip and easy to pull out and put in the rubbish. They seem a good price at supermarket but for me budgets are tight do would consider this a luxury item rather than a must have in the supermarket trolley. Thanks for sending

I could smell these bags in the mailbox! But not in a bad way, just a slight hint of something fresh and floral. Although miss 10 did not like the smell, everyone else thought it was nice. Love the large size, they are great for in the kitchen. Very strong & durable and they definitely stop odours! We used some for clean up after a party and it was great to be able to put scraps and rubbish in them and not have the smell lingering throughout the rest of the hot day, or having to take the rubbish out straight away. More time to enjoy the party! I was actually really surprised by the cost, I thought they would be expensive but they were just $4.50 for 16 or 18 bags depending on size. I’m not sure I would buy them regularly but having some on hand for certain things or times would be handy. Thanks for letting us try them! Good to know!

We got the Glad Tie Kitchen Tidy Liners with Ambi Pur last week and I’m really glad to be choosing to review this product because they are so AMAZING. We used them on nappy bin as well as in the kitchen bin. Bag size was perfect for the nappy bin but it was bit too big for the kitchen bin. Rubbish bags were certainly strong and love the design of the bag specially the handle which make easy to carry it. Nappy bin can smell really bad when it open specailly if there is a poo nappy but Glad tidy liners does the job well and neutralises odour and make nappy changing time much easier without nasty odour lingering in the room. Also the ambi pur smell in the bags last longer too. I saw they sell Glad tidy liner with ambi pur in our local supermarket and bought large and medium size packs. Medium size one was perfect for our kitchen bin. I will continue to buy these Glad tidy linder with Ambi Pur and Recommend to all to buy these great product. Thank you for choosing to review this amazing product.

Found these bags very strong, the rubbish smell was definitely reduced and the size was perfect for our large rubbish bin. We tried ours in the kitchen and noticed less rubbish smells. It was also during a particularly hot period so I was doubly impressed. I will definitely be keeping an eye out in the supermarket for these and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to other busy mums, who don’t have time to separately bag most rubbish.

Update, it did seem to fare better in the Kitchen, mind you i’m not so sure we had very stinky rubbish in it, but they certainly lasted longer.

These bags are amazing! Strong and sturdy, and they hold so Much! We usually use plastic bags for our rubbish and go through 3 or 4 a day. With the Glad kitchen liners we are only using one every day, sometimes it will last two days! Even with stinky nappies, the kitchen remained odour free. The vanilla smell was nice, not overpowering at all. These will definitely be a staple in our shopping from now on.

Great large strong bags that hold lots of rubbish. With 2 young kids we sure make a reasonable amount. Keeps the odour away from all food waste, and make the bin smell nice. Makes putting the rubbish out an ok task – instead of stinking. Great stuff Glad.

We were lucky enough to be picked to trial these Glad Kitchen Tidy Liners with Ambi Pur. For the past two weeks we have been using them in the main rubbish bin in our house. Coincidentally (although definitely not luckily), the first bag which was popped in to the bin was the day in which my daughter first got sick with a stomach bug. She very generously then passed it on to the rest of our household…… ‘this will be a very good test’ I thought to myself! So, following a week of extra nappies, wipes and a huge amount extra uneaten food, I have been so so impressed with these bags. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I really like the smell of these bags, and haven’t found it overpowering- in fact it adds a lovely fragrance for a couple of days to the area around the bin. The label said that the fragrance would last ‘up to four days’, but in our experience, it’s starting to really wear down after two (although this could be due to the relatively open position of our bin). I don’t think that you’re ever going to stop some smell coming from the bin when you open it up, especially with stinky nappies and food waste, but the bags really did seem to remove all of the smell when the bin was closed which I was really impressed with. No files buzzing around the bin was a huge win for us. We’ve been able to make a bag last far longer because of this as well- a great bonus! The other aspect of the bags which I was really pleased to see was that the great Glad quality remains the same. Super strong with really generous handles, meaning that there were no leaks or rips, and making it really easy to remove the bag hygienically from the house. Overall, these bags have been great for us, and I will most certainly be using them through the summer. Just another little Summer hassle taken away by the team at Glad- thank you!

The bags themselves are large and are sturdy which was great, however I didn’t like the smell, it was a bit strong. I usually wrap my nappies up (our smelly rubbish) as I put them in the bin, but didn’t in order to trial these bags. I found that these bags didn’t mask the smell and instead the rubbish just smelt sweet and yuck. We don’t usually use a large bag for our bin, I thought the scented ones would be good if I didn’t have to wrap our nappies up but as it didn’t mask the smell I won’t bother with the extra bag.

Thanks for the opportunity to trial these. I found the smell to be very overpowering and i actually got an instant headache….but i persevered. The smell does eventually dissipate and became a non factor its just that initial hit that i found too much for my senses. The size decent bigger than a supermarket plastic bag and way stronger and sturdier. I tested this product out on raw meat packaging especially as with the start of summer we have had an influx of flies at cooking time. Honestly with these bags though nothing the flies didn’t even come near the rubbish so it must do something to help mask the smell. It is a great overall product. Strong. Big. Sturdy and it does the job of blocking odours….if only it was less potent on first opening it’d then tick all the boxes.

  11. sarahcu 22/09/2017 at 3:20 pm

We received the large size vanilla flavoured bag. The size was plenty big enough for our bin and the smell was ok. They were sturdy and easy to tie up. They held a large amount of rubbish and were definitely a lot tougher than normal carrier bags. The smell is probably meant to be a selling point but to be honest I didn’t notice a big difference to the normal carrier bags I use.

  12. sarinak 22/09/2017 at 3:20 pm

These are really good!! I have a really stinky rubbish bin at times and with summer heating up the kitchen its gotten worse!! but thanks to these awesome wee things no more yucky smells coming from my bin anymore 🙂 Will be buying these from now on. Thankyou for the opportunity to trail these. absolutely life changing 😉

  13. MichelleH 22/09/2017 at 3:19 pm

I was really grateful to be able to trial Glad Kitchen’s Tidy Liners as I’ve been using carrier bags which seem to be shrinking and not fitting my bin! The first thing I noticed when I opened the wrapper was the lovely smell of vanilla. The liner was very big (holds up to 35 litres) and was probably a bit big for my bin but I wasn’t complaining as there we no gaps between the liner and the bin! As the liner fit my bin so well, it meant that we could put more rubbish in the bin before changing and although the liners felt quite thin, they were very sturdy and didn’t rip or tear under pressure!! The liner boasts that it has continuous odour control for up to 4 days but to be honest, after a day I stopped smelling the vanilla. It did neutralise odours though as I put as much rubbish in the liner as my bin could hold and it didn’t smell as bad as it would have if I’d used a carrier bag. Overall I was really impressed by the size, strength and smell of these liners and will definitely be adding them to my shopping list!

  14. debbiec 22/09/2017 at 3:19 pm

i have been lucky enough to review these – i often stay cear of odour control items as they usually have quite a strong “odd smell” – these do have a scent but im happy to report back it is very gentle – not over powering it simply did a great job with covering the poo nappies smell without taking over the whole kitchen – the large is a good sized bag and easy to tie up – many thanks for letting me try these – they are on my shopping list 🙂

We received the Glad Kitchen Tidy Liners last week, and the next day, a bag got put to the test. Since we received the Large size, it was able to hold more rubbish than my bin is able to. The pleasant vanilla aroma filled the air as I opened the bag, and I found it very appealing. Two of my older kids like the fragrance too, while the younger kid found it funny. My husband thought it smelled a bit artificial, but half a day later, there wasn’t really any obvious vanilla smell anymore, anyway. Though there wasn’t anymore obvious vanilla aroma half a day later, I found that the rubbish in the bin didn’t smell that bad as it usually would when the weather is warmer. However, as I don’t like to leave rubbish in the house for more than a day, it got discarded at the end of the day. Before doing that, I took the opportunity empty the contents of all 3 bathroom bins in the big bag. I like the handle ties. Good product to have and thanks for the trial!

  16. Whovian 22/09/2017 at 3:19 pm

We have a large bin which means it doesn’t get emptied as often as it should so by day 3 there is usually a strong rotten odour every time you lift the lid, mostly from meat trays that have gotten warm. We are on our 3rd Glad Ambi-Pur bag and I’m impressed at the lack of smell. Even our outside wheelie bin isn’t as horrid smelling as it normally is with a few full bags sitting in it. They hold the rubbish well despite feeling quite thin. They are slightly too small for our bin so I wouldn’t buy them right now but once we renovate our kitchen I would consider them for the new, smaller, bin. I suspect that the price will be more than I usually like to pay but I do like not having the kitchen not smelling like fake lemon (my normal brand’s smell) mixed with rotting meat.

  17. smar 22/09/2017 at 3:18 pm

Thanks for the trial bags – I have never tried scented bags so was keen to see if they actually work. I was pleasantly surprised that the odours are masked in this hot weather with food, nappies etc sitting in there, They seem tough and can handle a decent amount of rubbish and are easy to tie and put into the rubbish bag outside. Would definitely use these again in summer especially.

  18. Charmedmum 22/09/2017 at 3:18 pm

Thanks for giving me the chance to trial these bin liners. I love them! They smell amazing! We are a large family of 7, one in night time nappies still and you couldn’t smell any bad odours through these bags. I often throw food scraps directly into the rubbish which can get quite smelly and again, I was impressed by the lack of odour. Also impressive was the size. Love the large size, they seem to hold a lot of rubbish and also are quite strong. I would recommend these tidy liners to everyone, especially with the warmer weather and rubbish starts getting smelly very quickly. Thank you. Very impressed.

Thanks for choosing me to review the Glad Kitchen Tidy Liners. We got 4 large bags and they are really big – didn’t fit any of our bins but that’s ok, better than too small. I think the Glad logo is always fairly familiar to most kiwis and these would be easy to find in the supermarket. I could smell the lovely vanilla fragrance when I opened the envelope – it’s one of my favourite scents and this is not too overpowering. The bag is not too thin, and comparable to supermarket bags. I tried them in my kitchen bin which gets an onslaught of meat containers and food scraps. The bag did a great job the first 2 days and it was a pleasant experience opening the bin and smelling lovely vanilla. However on the 3rd day, the smell was definitely not strong with the bin odour taking over. We also tried them in my sons room in his nappy bin. He regularly leaves the lid open on this so I was looking forward to trying the liners in his bin. He uses nappies at night only so they are only dealing with wee, and as with the kitchen liner, the smell was good for the first 2 days but lacking on the 3rd day. We usually use supermarket bags to line our bins as a way to reuse our plastic bags. I probably wouldn’t add rubbish bags to our shopping list – this is an extra expense that we can’t afford and it adds more plastic to landfill. Companies really need to think about what consumers are demanding these days and very often it is recyclable products. If friends or family are looking for a bin liner that has a nice smell that isn’t too overpowering, I will definitely mention Glad AmbiPur Kitchen Tidy Liners. 🙂

Thank you so much for selecting me as a reviewer for the glad ambi pur rubbish bags. I have been using for a few days now and absolutely love the scent, even masks the odd nappy and smelly rubbish very well. Our bin was a little bigger than the bags and found the bags to be quite thin although in saying that none had ripped while using but would need to be wary of weight/how much to dispose of in one bag. Otherwise I was very happy and will be purchasing again for my smaller bin in the bathroom . Great product would love to see more scents available also. Thank you again

Miss 3 was excited when these Glad Kitchen Tidy Liners with Ambi Pur arrived in the post. Our kitchen bin slides under the sink and so I think in the future we would purchase small or medium as the large was quite big but it was alright because as it got more fill, I just untucked it and left it out which meant that we got more use out of it and rubbish didnt fall on the ground (as sometimes happens when ‘people’ are to lazy to change the bag, and continue to put more rubbish in the full bin). The smell was really nice when I pressed my nose against it (before we used it obviously) but I didnt really find it that strong and although it probably masked my rubbish smell, I couldn’t really tell the difference between using scented and unscented bags. We usually put the really strong smelling rubbish in the outdoor bin anyway so perhaps we just don’t have that stinky rubbish. I liked the strength and the capacity of the liners and would probably buy them again if they are on sale. Maybe if they came in a few different, stronger scents. The vanilla was really nice but just wasn’t strong enough.

I received my Glad Kitchen Tidy liners 3 days ago, and opened my first sample straight away. I have my rubbish bin in a cupboard so keeping it smelling nice in there has always been a challenge. I found the vanilla scent to be pleasant without being over powering. Our bin is medium sized but it was easy enough to fold the liners down. All in all, so far I’m fairly impressed with this product and would recommend it for keeping those yucky rubbish smells at bay for kitchen bins. I will be keeping a look out for the smaller sizes at the supermarket and intend to use them again in the future.

I have to admit that I was a little wary of the claims made about these bags. I fully expected a strong smelling bag that just mixed with the odors of the nappies and meat scraps and yogurt containers in the bin. I am so pleased I was proved wrong. I have two bins. The first one is in the kitchen cupboard and has no lid. Usually when you open the cupboard you get a faint whiff of whatever has been sitting in there the last couple of days, but with the Ambi-Pur Glad bags, I just didn’t smell anything besides a faint vanilla smell. Our other bin has a lid and lives in the laundry. It is quite large and all dirty nappies go in there until it is full, usually 3 or 4 days. I was amazed at the lack of odor that came out of that bin! It always makes me gag a little when I have to open it, but no longer! So, thank you for letting me trial this product, I was so impressed.

We are finding the Glad Kitchen Tidy Liners with Ambi Pur to be fantastic! The capacity is great and they are strong which is very important in our house. I have found the odour neutralising to be very effective and the bags have almost eliminated the smells coming from the bin which is brilliant! They are really easy to use and make changing the bin a lot more pleasant than it normally is. We really like them and will be purchasing more!

  25. rainbow 22/09/2017 at 3:16 pm

Thanks for the opportunity to try the Glad ambi pur bags. We are using them in our general kitchen rubbish bin and it definitely makes a difference in terms of the smell of the bin with kitchen food waste, especially now that the weather has got a lot warmer. They are great fit for our bin and easy to put in and remove when full, with the tie handle being very useful. I would recommend these bags to anyone thinking of purchasing new bin liners.

  26. NEdlington 22/09/2017 at 3:16 pm

Summary: * Love the scent. * works slightly better than standard bags. * After a few days still has odours. * Pricepoint and effectiveness, not for me. Full review: DAY 1: (28th Nov) The samples arrived today, yay. The main place I wanted to try this is for the nappy bin in my boys room. We use a mix of cloth and disposables and rather than investing in a nappy disposal system, use a pedal bin with bin bags. Whipped my lemon scented tidy bag out of the bin and replaced with the sample. Large is a bit big for this bin, Medium would likely suffice. Loving the vanilla scent, hope it’s going to work and nutralise those odours. DAY 2: Master 6 months had a pooey nappy when out, so when I came home I decided to put it in the ambi-pur bin bag to see what it was like (I don’t normally put these in here, I usually put them straight into the outside bin). While the bin smells better than it would normally, you still get a bit of a whiff when you open the bin, and a slight smell to the room. Possibly still best to put pooey ones outside. I’ve had to put a new bag in. DAY 4: This is day 2 on the current bag, and it is nowhere near as smelly as it usually would be (particularly in this current heat), but there is still some odour each time the bin is opened. DAY 7: Day 3 of the 3rd bag and it is pretty smelly even when the bin isn’t open, again not as strong maybe as the standard lemon glad bags, but still strong enough for it to need to be emptied. Couldn’t see it lasting the 4 days with nappies in it. For me personally, while I like them, and they do work to make odours smell better than the standard bags I use, I’m not sure I could justify the price, as they are not that much better. If I couldn’t smell any odour at all, then I would be much happier. Will try the last sample in the Kitchen and see if it fair’s any better.

  27. srb 22/09/2017 at 3:15 pm

Thank you for the opportunity to review these bags! We used them in our nappy bucket. I usually purchase Multix lavender scented bin liners from paknsave. These glad bags are far superior at minimising odours and definitely live up to their claims of 4 days odour protection. they tie well and don’t rip. I would purchase them if they are a similar cost to my current product. However, if they are significantly more expensive I could not justify the extra cost regardless of the superiority.

  28. 2cbear 22/09/2017 at 3:15 pm

Thank you for Letting me review this product. All positive feedback, fantastic size and excellent quality; they smell delicious (yesI’m saying that about a bin bag!) and continue to do so with use. Not a single bad smell and ours have really be tested! Fantastic

  29. kirsty8 22/09/2017 at 3:15 pm

I received these bags four days ago and am pretty impressed thus far. We have one main bin which is used for nappies and kitchen rubbish so these were definitely put to the test. The scent is reasonably strong straight out of the packet but once lining the rubbish bin you can’t smell the vanilla unless you put your nose in the bin (not advised). The odour neutralising technology (which to be honest I really didn’t think would work, especially with nappies) has definitely stopped the odours from coming out of the bin. I also liked that the bag was a decent size, didn’t rip or tear easily and had easy to grab and tie handles. Thumbs up from us 🙂

  30. paddysmum 22/09/2017 at 3:15 pm

I received these bags 2 days ago and am impressed so far, there is no food odour coming from the bin, the vanilla isn’t strong smelling once the bag is actually being used, which is a good and bad thing. I love vanilla but not everybody does. its a decent sized bag and is strong enough. Def a big thumbs up here
