Miss 6 was super excited to try out the Weleda 2 in 1 when it arrived. The packaging was ‘cool’, and we liked the illustrations on the labels. I really liked the consistency of the product. It was just the right thickness to be able to dispense the perfect amount from the tube, which is great to reduce wastage when they are old enough to be doing it themselves. It created a gentle lather, and felt more like a cream on the skin and felt quite moisturising. It spread well, and a little bit will go a long way. It also rinsed off easily.
We enjoyed the convenience of the 2 in 1 product. As a shampoo, it left her long, fine hair feeling soft, and didn’t strip all the moisture out and leave it frizzy like lots of other shampoos targeted at kids.
In all honesty, I wasn’t really a big fan of the vanilla scent though – it wasn’t really how I expected it to smell at all, vanilla just didn’t really seem to be the dominant note of the fragrance to me. Perhaps my nose is just more accustomed to a more common synthetic vanilla smell?? I think we all preferred the lime scent, and would definitely also like to try out the Happy Orange scent next time I purchase.
There was also no way my Miss 2.5 was going to be content on missing out on using the ‘Dolphin soap’ too! Although we are lucky enough not to have any sensitive skin issues, I had no hesitation with using it on her skin too. Its probably far more gentle than some mainstream baby formulations in my opinion! Weleda is a trusted brand in our family to look after our biggest organ – our skin! Thank you Kidspot and Weleda for the opportunity to try this out 🙂
Thank you for the chance to try this new Weleda product. Miss 4 was really excited when these arrived and we went through the product brochure, pointing out things I had used with her or on myself when she was a baby. This was important as she is a child who will one day love the bath and want to play in it for hours, and then, the next day, scream her head off and refuse to get in. Getting her familiar with the products and helping her realise that these were mild, natural products that weren’t going to hurt her eczema or irritate her skin really helped to make her enjoy bath time.
We tried the lime samples first and oh my,the smelt amazing. I liked that the consistency was quite thick like a cream, rather than runny and gel like. This is good as it didn’t slip out of her hand. She often wastes a lot of product due to this, but the Weleda 2 in 1 didn’t have this issue.
We also loved the scent of the vanilla. When we used it as a shampoo, it made her hair feel really clean (sometimes shampoos can leave her hair still feeling quite oily)
We were really happy with this product and expect it to last quite a while as you don’t need to use a whole lot. When it does run out, we will be trying some of the other scents.
Thank you so much for the opportunity to try this. I love how thick and creamy it is. My son was able to wash is own hair for the first time ever and had no issues getting it in his eyes. The vanilla smells delicious although I prefer the lime. It is more of a kids smell in my opinion. Love that it is a body wash and shampoo. Makes bathtime so much easier! The only thing which would improve the product was if it was in a pump bottle so kids could easily get it out themselves. totally recommend. Thank you again!

I was really excited to try out a Weleda product for older kids as the last time I used their products was when my little ones were teething etc!
First off, love the packaging! I dropped it literally 2 seconds after I opened the package, and the cap did not break! SCORE! This is a real pet peeve of mine. So solid packaging – tick!
The smell was not really my cup of tea. It smells a bit too ‘medicinal’ for me. Like a hospital smell. However, I could smell the vanilla, and it wasn’t over powering so definitely wouldn’t deter me from purchasing this product repeatedly.
Application was amazing. A little REALLY goes a long way. It foams so so nicely in my kids hair, which is a HUGE plus for me! I can’t stand it when you have to pour heaps of product on their heads just to get a decent lather going. This was fantastic and it even spread nicely from their head all over their bodies for a full all in one clean – awesome! I used it as a body was a couple of times as well (I have very sensitive skin), and it was great!
It was a great body wash and shampoo, and one I’ll definitely look into purchasing again once this tube runs out. It does outshine our current organic product. I still have to use conditioner on my 6 year old daughters hair, otherwise it’s a knotty nightmare. I’m interested to know if they have a conditioning product for kids hair!

Firstly thankyou Kidspot and Weleda for picking my 3 boys to review.. We were given the very vanilla and few sachets of lively lime… I will say my older 2 boys(10&8) do prefer the lime as found the Vanilla smelt abit weird to them. What they did say too as it wasn’t as mild on their eyes as expected and unfortunately Mr 3 was terrified of it on his hair as stung his eyes when we first used and attempted to rinse off under the shower. However it is amazing in the bath and left their skin feeling silky smooth and soft and I really liked the natural vanilla smell… It left a georgous aroma in the bathroom for an hour or so afterwards. The boys did prefer to use it as a shampoo versus a body wash and said it made their hair feel less oily and not itchy like other kids shampoo has in past. I found it easy enough to rinse off Mr 3 on both his body and head in the bath. I also really like the fact that it’s quality product so you don’t need to use a whole lot to make it go far. It’s nice as well to know the boys… Older 2 don’t need to be supervised with it as it has no nastys and safe for them anytime anywhere. We will deff be purchasing the lime and orange ones in full size for their Xmas stockings this year.
Thank you Kidspot and Weleda for the opportunity to trial this product. My Mr 5 has been using the Very Vanilla shampoo and bodywash for the last week. He also tried out the sachets of Lively Lime shampoo and bodywash. He likes the Very Vanilla but loves, loves, loves the Lively Lime! It smells really nice and is rich, creamy and moisturising. It lathers well as both a shampoo and bodywash and is gentle on skin and eyes. Mr 5 also likes the cool nature pictures that are different for each fragrance. This product ticks all our requirements: mild, pleasant smell; gentle; moisturising; no harsh chemicals and perfumes and kind to the environment. I tried out the vanilla bodywash too and was very pleased with it. We will definitely be buying more of this – Mr 5 is keen to try the Happy Orange next! We have also recommended the product to friends and will continue to do so. Thanks again Kidspot!
Thanks for letting me trial this product on my tribe – mr 11 – mr 9 – miss 7 – miss 5 and miss 2 oh and me 🙂 we recieved the Very Vanilla 2in1 shampoo body wash – in very easy to use squeezy tube with a flip up lid – miss 2 couldnt quite manage to open it but miss 5 and up all found it easy to use – looked lush when it came out of the tube – very creamy consistency which gave just the right amount of bubbles on the skin – the smell was not to overpowering just light and fresh – i used it on all there hair and it did a great job – the girls have long hair so not sure if i would use it all the time on there hair but the boys loved it as it was so quick and easy to use no opening extra bottles of shampoo – i loved the size just the right size for the kids hands and great when we took it to the pools with us (not to bulky/heavy in the bag) – we also recieved so sachets of the Lively Lime which was also great and had a very refreshing wake up smell !
Thanks Kidspot Mums Say and Weleda for giving us these samples to try. We got a bottle of the vanilla scented shampoo and some sample packs of the lime. I love vanilla so it was heaven snuggling up to the kids for story time at night after they had used this. This product has a distinct picture on the front – I expect they will be easy to spot in the shampoo aisle in the supermarkets, and also the animal friends appeal to the kids. We found it lathered well when using as a shampoo. My son screamed like a banshee on rinse out time (although this is nothing to do with the product.) My daughter said she opened her eyes and it didn’t hurt when the shampoo went in, so it seems like it’s a fairly gentle product. Both kids came out and their skin felt lovely and I was glad to find it hadn’t dried out their skin or caused irritation for my daughter who has sensitive skin.
We would use again and recommend to friends and family who would like a more natural product for their kids.
My family have been trialing the Weleda 2in1 Very Vanilla shampoo and bodywash for this last week.
First impressions was that the tube is of a great size for the bathroom and definitely to take away in a toiletry bag for holidays. The scent of vanilla was not too overpowering and it was a calming scent just right to use on my boys before bedtime.
Being 2in1 was perfect for my busy boys who like to be washed and shampooed super fast.The product was easy to use, squeezed out just the right amount, but most of all it has been gentle on my sons eczema skin, which hasn’t flared up after using this product.
I will definitely be buying it again, and look forward to trying out the other scents.
Really please to have been picked to trial this product! The Weleda Kids 2in1 Shampoo & Body Wash Very Vanilla 150ml – I love Weleda and have been using their teething powder for quite a few years, it’s brilliant so would expect the same from this 🙂 My almost 5 year old was super excited to get this as it’s for her (although Mum did try it too). We both quite liked the tube, the colours and the pictures on it were cute. We try to use natural products for our daughter where possible to keep away from icky petrochemicals etc which are absorbed into the skin. We both flipped the lid of the tube and had a sniff – the vanilla was a nice smell, not too strong and we liked it, we also got some sachets of the Lively Lime to try which I really liked the smell of (might have to buy a tube of the lime). So first use was a small squirt into our daughters bath – didn’t foam up but you could see it in the water and made it smell lovely. She came out smelling really nice and her skin felt really good too. Next night she tried it in the shower and I washed her hair with it too, was easy to use on her hair, lathered fairly well (although I know that it doesn’t need to foam to be good) and washed out easily. She did get a little in one of her eyes though and made a song and dance about it as she said it stung quite a bit. It washed out well and made her hair smell divine I must say. I even used it in the shower that night and really liked it 🙂 So a thumbs up from me and my daughter, really like it and would use it again, thanks!
After using this for couple of days now, it is definitely something worth buying in future. The simple packaging is clean and good quality. The very vanilla smell is divine. A little goes a long way with the product as it lathers and spread quiet well and you can tell that their hair and body has been cleaned using this product. Both my 3 & 6 year old have sensitive skin and have only used natural product on them and will definitely use this again. My only feedback is to have a shampoo and conditioner as well as my daughter have a semi long hair and after using this, i could feel that it definitely cleaned it but needing some sort of conditioner so it doesnt tangle her hair. Overall, it is a great 2 in 1 product to have.
I have to admit I don’t love the scent of the product when it is being used in the the bath or shower, I don’t dislike it but it smells much better once the kids are dry, it leaves a lovely soft vanilla scent in their hair. Probably the difference between a mild gentle scent and some of the stronger scents we have all become accustomed to.
Both my kids have used it, the eldest has sensitive skin and reacts to products with a lot of synthetic chemicals in them with eczema but this product was perfectly fine on him. I noticed the product recommended ages 3 and up, I can only assume this is due to the essential oils used perhaps, I used it with my 2 year old anyway. Washing her hair is a constant battle so the novelty of something new was a godsend. It didn’t dry out their skin or hair,. It foams but not greatly (can’t use it as bubble bath, but can use it like a bath milk).
The price seems reasonable and I would probably buy this product in the future, I’d love to try the Happy Orange scent once I have finished the Vanilla.
I like that it has a good proportion of natural ingredients but there are a couple of ingredients there that I would rather not have.There are many products out there which claim to be natural, or organic but still come with a list of unpronounceable ingredients 5 miles long including ones you try and avoid. It is important to note that natural ingredients are chemicals too (water itself is a chemical) and you react to them also, eg I react very badly to sandalwood. Best bet is to choose products with a short list of ingredients you are familiar with wherever you can.

My son is 10 and has sensitive skin and often gets eczema. I let him use this product for a few days before doing my review to be sure it was okay for his skin. He had no reactions and it didn’t dry out his skin. His skin and hair were both left silky soft.
I love that this product contains no synthetics, is vegan and dermatologically tested. It is such a gentle formula and my son had no issues with getting it in his eyes like he does with other products when I’m washing his hair.
When I opened the package my son knew it was for him before I said anything. It is bright and eye-catching to kids and my son was very proud to have his own product sitting in the bathroom, he especially loved the dolphin.
The product came out easily and it’s easy to control how much comes out. It was easy to lather and my son loved the bubbles.
The scent was a big hit! My son got out of the bath and kept telling me I had to smell him. It has a beautiful fresh smell of vanilla and mandarin. It isn’t overpowering at all.
The Lively Lime has a fresh citrus scent. We’ve only tried it once but my son loved it and couldn’t pick a favourite.
I struggle finding bath products for my son because of his sensitive skin and him having so many reactions. I am so happy that this product worked so well for him and I will be purchasing it after the bottle is all gone.
I have already recommend this product to my family and friends and will continue to do so. It’s a great gentle product and a bonus that it’s 2in1.
A product my 6 year old boy LOVES. My little guy was told this shower gel was just for him – he was chuffed – but when he found out he could wash his hair and then the rest of hime with that one squirt – even he was impressed. We had the vanilla scent, and there were no complaints from him, but he really liked the Lime samples too! He has a couple of patches of mild eczema that flare up if he uses normal soaps, and we had no issue with this product at all. A little goes a long way so I wouldn’t leave him to disburse it at his leisure, of the tube would be gone ….but I’m impressed and he really likes it. He’s usually one to complain about soap stinging with washing his hair, and I didn’t get one complaint. Not even a comment, so it’s definitely gentle, and agreeable for him. For the money you think the tube is a little small, and it won’t go far – but you don’t need that much, and it definitely takes care of everything in one little handful… Would happily recommend this product, and we’ll continue to use this for our guy as he likes it (I suspect he’ll ask for ‘the green one’ next time), it doesn’t upset his skin at all, and it’s an all in one product which is a big win when you have a 6 year old boy who thinks showering is a 10 minute hot water sauna with little soap required!! I would also like to add that I didn’t actually realise it says for 3years plus only I just saw another person’s comment about this. I have been using it on my one year old and he hasn’t had any reactions etc..i don’t use alot on him though. Also miss 3 loves the smell and I also love how I can wash my girls hair with it too. I guess I should of read the packaging I was just to excited to use it
We received a full size tube of very vanilla and three samples of lively lime.i was so excited to find I had been selected as I absolutely love weleda products. I have been using the very vanilla on my baby and kids every night and it leaves there skin feeling so soft and the smell is really nice too. I’ve even used it to wash my hair and it made my hair so soft. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for something that doesn’t contain all the nasty chemicals that are in alot of bath/shower products and also because it is very gentle on little ones skin and the smell is just right. We received a full sized Very Vanilla and three samples of the Lively Lime. I was so excited to be chosen for this trial as it ticks all the right boxes: natural, cruelty free, no synthetic detergents, preservatives, fragrances or colours etc. We liked that it is skin friendly as our son can be prone to dry skin and can occasionally be sensitive to new products. Master 7 was our lucky chosen guinea pig for this product and he said that he really liked the smell. When I told him he could use it for both his hair and his skin, he couldn’t believe it! I think the selling point for me is that it is a 2in1 product. Our shower area seems to have so many products for my husband and I that once you start adding in all the different products for our son and baby, it can get quite congested in there! All in all a great product and we will most definitely stop wasting our time buying a separate shampoo and body wash and now just buy this 2in1 product instead 🙂
We recievedon’t the very vanilla scent, it has a beautiful smell, not too over powering but enough to get the kids smelling fresh and clean. The packaging was appealing to my son , and I found it easy to use. It was great not having to worry about my son crying when it got in his eyes compared to other shampoos.I also liked how it is a 2 in 1 which saves time in the shower and the littlest don’t get annoyed! I remember why I love weleda products!
Amazing! Bit of background, my son has ASD so is very sensitive to smells & to his eyes stinging! We try & aim for the most natural shampoos we can for him but as he swims 3-4 times a week it still has to be descent enough to get rid of the chlorine!
The Weleda 2in1 has been fantastic. The very first day was a bit tough as my son thought it smelt & looked like sunscreen so was convinced I was making a mistake trying to get him to wash his hair & body with it!
But a week or so down the track, he loves it. His hair is soft & smells great & he thinks we should buy this all the time now! Total win! Thanks so much for letting our family give it a go 🙂
We have issues with sore eyes, crying, hand me a towel and tears at hair washing time so what a relief to find Very Vanilla Weleda Kids 2in1 Shampoo and Body Wash arrive on bath night! Master 6 and Master 8 love their baths, but loathe the washing part. I was very intrigued with the scent – Master 8 wasn’t keen, Master 6 loved it – you can’t please everyone I guess. When I mentioned it was going to be mild on their eyes they asked in disbelief “but how?” and weren’t they surprised when it was gentle. Easy to get out of the bottle, lots of bubbles and lather and a lovely scent. I had two clean boys, no tears and crying when their hair was washed and I love that Weleda is natural and dermatologically tested – we do have eczema raise it’s head once in a while on Master 6. Thank you for the opportunity to trial this product. I can’t wait to try the Lively Lime sachets that arrived and the Happy Orange sounds like a scent both boys will love. We are Weleda purchasers and this is one product that we will continue to use.
We received Weleda Kids 2in1 Shampoo & Bodywash in Very Vanilla. We tried it on all three kids last night. Master 3 and miss 6 enjoyed the convince of a single product. Miss 6s Hair was beautiful after the product. More so than after our usual Shampoo. Master 9 wasn’t fussed. I did notice the absence of a significant vanilla scent. If anything I thought it smelled like tea tree so much so I checked the ingredient list 😜
I was pleasantly surprised with its gentleness on skin. Particularly my youngest is prone to Eczema and I’m happy to report no breakouts.
I enjoyed the convenience of an all in one product. It would be particularly good to take on holiday or a camping trip. Thanks for the opportunity of trying this new product Weleda and Kidspot.
We received the ‘Very Vanilla’ shampoo and body wash. Loved the fragrance as it wasn’t an overpowering vanilla scent that can sometimes be a little sickly. More of a gentle but fresh scent which is nice for the kiddies. It came out a creamy consistently and can be used as bubble bath mixture which is always a plus for bath time. The consistency was like that of shampoo and it lathered up nicely on my daughters hair. Definitely a plus that it’s gentle on the eyes as she is scared when rinsing shampoo out. There were no complaints about this product really and as a parent I too enjoyed the scent and also the fact that it is 100% natural. My 18month daughter (who has mild eczema) also joined her sister in the bath and there were no irritations to her skin as far as I could see. Weleda products are definitely ones I can trust from what I’ve tried so far so in the future I think I’d be more likely to choose them over any other brand. Cheers!
Thank you Weleda & Kidspot for the 2in1 Shampoo & Body Wash opportunity. We received the Very Vanilla fragrance and took it straight to the bathroom ready for bath time. The excitement certainly made my two move for bath time. We opened the tubed cap to firstly smell the aroma. My 4-year-old daughter really liked the smell and likened it to lemon – must be the mandarin tones. The texture was nice and creamy and washed through my daughter’s hair easily. There didn’t seem to be any soapy eye dramas which was great. I really liked how the creamy soap texture ran nicely as a wash too. My older son washed his hair and liked how easy it was to wash through and rinse and also washed his face with the bubbled suds. All in all a good experience and will keep using for further Review.
I received my Weleda Kids 2in1 Shampoo & Body Wash today and my first option was how inviting the product looked. It was very well presented and was very cute if I must say the dolphin caught my eye. Mr 7 month old even tried to grab the Wash off me and Mr 3 year old loves blue and he thought it looked very awesome – that was his words. Next was the smell test. I instantly loved the smell it reminds me of a relaxing vanilla candle (my favorite) Mr 3 year old said it smelt very yum and like a cookie… Mr 7 month old just tried to eat it… I am already very impressed. Next was the fun part….Bath time! i tried it on my hands first and no oily feeling but a feeling of hydration was there. I used it on my 7 month old tonight and only applied very minimum just in case of reaction. I put a bit in his hair as well and i was very surprised a little bit went over his face in wash off and no red/irritated eyes! After his bath i checked over and no rash or redness anywhere which my boys have sensitive skin and his skin feels very hydrated so this product aced its first bath with my little 7 month old and OMG he smells delicious….Tomorrow night is Mr 3 year olds wash 🙂
I would just like to add to my review that due to the packaging stating that it was for 3+ years only the very minimal amount was used on my 7 month old ( pea size) but i am very happy with it so far but the ultimate test will be tomorrow with Mr # year old who suffers a bit of Eczema
I first noticed the beautiful bottle it comes in, then when I opened it the delightful vanilla smell. We tried it out on my boys last night (7 & 9) and they loved it! Loved that they could use it to wash themselves and their hair. It didn’t irritate their sensitive skin. Both said it smelt lovely and made their hair feel silky smooth. Plus they walked around afterwards getting everyone to smell their hair as they loved the scent. Plus I thought it made the boys hair look shiny and extra bouncy. Couldn’t stop patting their heads. Hi this sounds perfect for our three kids. For most of their lives ages 2, 8, 10, we have just used water
to wash with as their skin is so sensitive and reacts to chemicals, esp now the 2yr old. But the older ones
had the same thing too, so they have just used water. But now they are getting older and Ive been thinking that
the 10 yrs old especially really needs something, as he is growing and getting a wee bit more pongey at the
end of the day. It would be great for him to have something special to use. And for hair washing on the daughter, thats always a struggle. thanks for considering us.
Would love to give this a go, i have 3 kids aged 5-10, and my daughter has eczema so it’s always hard finding something that can wash both hair and body that won’t flare it up and make her itchy. All natural sounds fabulous to Me!

I am just starting to find a shampoo that is good for my grand-daughters dermatitis and she also has long hair and we have lots of crying when just wash her hair with shampoo as it tangles and we get very upset so a 2 n 1 would be amazing to stop those crying sessions
I would love to give this a go as I prefer to use natural products on my wee boys skin as childrens skin is so delicate and you need to look after it! I have used the weleda teething powder and arnica and have been really impressed with the quality of their products so keen to try this new product.
