Give the gift of a story and delight in seeing the imaginations of your kids take flight as you read a Christmas story to them.
Entertain and inspire your little ones with the dramas and fascination of a Christmas tale you choose and see their delight when they discover that they get a prize of another story as well!
What you need:
- Small book wrapped for each child
- Christmas story
Activity:
Sit the kids in a circle around you.
Hand each a gift-wrapped book.
Choose a Christmas story to read and find a common word in the story, ie “Santa”.
Instruct the kids that every time you say the chosen word they have to pass their book to the person on their right.
Continue doing so until the story is over.
Whichever book each child is holding when you finish reading is theirs to keep and open!
What a cute game! I have a friend that runs a youth group, and she gave out books for Christmas, this would be a fun idea to suggest to her for next time!
What a nice idea. Could also easily adapt this into a birthday party game too, a bit like pass the parcel.
wonderful idea for everyone to sit down together and to share a story and also have their own present at the end. I think this would work for a wide range of ages too.
That’s a cool idea 🙂 Love it – don’t really have enough kids around to play it though haha. Must remember this when our wee one is a bit older.
Oh! That’s a cute game. Would be awesome for when everyone is waiting aroundafter present opening and before the big meal 😍
