Decoupage craft: Make your own bangles
These cute little decoupage bangles are sure to impress even the toughest little critics in your home. Get crafty and create something amazing. Why not make a few to go with more than one outfit?
What you need:
- wooden bangle
- assorted colours of origami paper
- PVA wood glue
- small dish
- medium to fine sandpaper
- scissors
- paintbrush
- pencil
- ruler
- wooden skewer
- 2 x tins

Step 1. Gather your supplies
Step 2. Lightly sand any rough edges of wooden bangle with sandpaper.
Step 3. Measure width of bangle and mark up diamond shapes on your paper then cut out diamond and triangle shapes.
Step 4. Measure the circumference of bangle and lay out your desired design ensuring it will fit around the bangle. If the shapes are too long, trim them slightly till they fit together nicely.
Step 5. Pour a small amount of glue into your dish
Step 6. Paint glue on the outside of the bangle and start sticking paper shapes down.
Step 7. As you stick on your shapes, paint over the top of the paper with the glue. It will dry clear and shiny.
Step 8. Hang to dry using a wooden skewer balanced between two tins.
Step 9. Water down PVA glue with a table spoon of water to thin it out slightly. Give the edges and inside of bracelet a coating of glue mixture. Allow to dry and repeat with another coating or two all over .
Step 10. Enjoy wearing your bangles and fielding lots of lovely compliments about how pretty they are!
Notes:
- PVA glue will give a shiny finish when your bangle is dry.
