Exploring outside

A blanket is all you need for a fun day of exploring outside. What discoveries are waiting for you and the family to find in the great outdoors with this fun activity?

Activity:

Take a blanket or mat outside and place it under a tree.

Lie with your child and observe your surroundings.

Talk with your child about what you can see and perhaps the different sounds that you hear.

Try to imagine what your child is thinking and talk to them about it.

Point out objects and colours.

Take them outside at night if possible and point out the moon and stars.

This is a great bonding activity for parents and children as the children learn about the world whilst strengthening the close bond of parent and child.
