Father’s Day: iDad card

Father’s Day: iDad card

This cute iPad card is perfect for the dad who loves gadgets.  Use his iPad as a template to make a groovy iDad card for Father’s Day.

What you need:

  • 1 x piece of black A4 craft paper
  • 1 x piece of white A4 card
  • 1 x print out of iPad icons from Google images
  • craft knife
  • glue
  • a marker pen

Activity:

Start by locating some iPad icons you can print out.  Google, “iPad icons” and hit “images” then choose one that has about four or five rows along the page.  Drag it to your desktop. Copy it and paste it into a Word document. Print it out.

Trace around the iPad onto the black piece of paper and the white piece of card.

Cut out the iPad icons you have printed out.

Stick them to the black sheet in rows.  When the glue is dry, use a craft knife to cut around three sides of each icon so that they make a flap that you can open up.

Stick the black sheet to the white piece of card, making sure you only glue around the edges (so you don’t glue the flaps shut accidentally.)

Write your message to Dad inside the flaps.
