How to make green gooey slime
Impress your kids with this gooey green goo slime making activity. Green goo is a fun learning experience as they make their own slime with science. Kitchen science has never been this fun, so grab your ingredients and get gooing today!
What you need:
- 1/2 cup Elmer's school glue
- 1/2 cup cold water
- green food colouring
- 5 tbsp Borax laundry detergent (found in the cleaning aisle of supermarkets)
- 1 cup of hot water (just off the boil)
Number of players:

Activity:
Put about 1/2 a cup of glue in a bowl, mix in half a cup of cold water.__
Add some drops of green food colouring. __
In a separate glass jug, dissolve a tablespoon of Borax into one cup of hot water. Add a few more teaspoons of Borax, a little at a time until no more Borax will dissolve into the water.
Add the Borax mixture to the gluey mixture and give it a stir. A blob should form in water. Pick the blob out and knead it until it takes shape as a sticky ball of goo. __
Remember it is to be played with and not eaten!
You can keep your gooey green slime in a resealable bag.
