Making your own animal ears headband is an easy craft activity for kids that will also result in a lovely homemade dress up for your dress up box.

Our FREE printable templates will make it easy for you to make mouse ears, bunny rabbit ears, piglet ears and cat’s ears at home.

What you need:

• 1 x Alice headband
• Mouse ears template
• Bunny ears template
• Piglet ears template
• Cat ears template
• cardboard or foamboard
• scissors
• glue
• lead pencil

Activity:

Watch the mouse ears video to get the basic idea of how you can make your animal ears.

Just print out whichever template you want. Cut it out in cardboard, felt or foam board.

Glue the ears to the underside of the headband first, then fold the mirror image up to meet itself.

Decorate your ears however you want to.

Smaller children may find it easier to simply colour them in. Older children may want to get a bit fancier with pieces of felt, glitter, cotton wool (for bunny ears) or foam board. It’s up to you!
