Paper plate craft is a great way to get your child thinking creatively about shapes. Did you know you can make a spooky black cat for Halloween out of one paper plate? Go figure!
What you need:
- 1 x paper plate
- black paint & paint brush
- 2 x googly craft eyes
- 1 x small pink pom pom
- scissors
- glue
Number of players:
Activity:
Paint the paper plate black.
Out of the flat centre part of the plate, cut a large arch. The outer section will be the cat’s body (see video).
From the plain bit of the arch you cut out, make a head (circle) and two ears (two triangles).
From the fluted section, cut a small arc for a tail.
Out of whatever is left over, cut six thin slivers to use as whiskers.
Glue it all together to make your cat.
Add your eyes and nose.
Meow!
