Thank you cards: cork stamp apple card

Thank you cards: cork stamp apple card

Homemade cards are so much nicer (and cheaper) than an old Hallmark standard. This simple cork stamp thank you card idea is an  easy craft activity for kids AND a lovely way to give your thank you notes a personal twist, and our cute how-to video tutorial shows you how to do it.

What you need:

  • 1 x wine cork
  • 1 x piece of white card
  • craft knife
  • red paint
  • green paint
  • a black marker pen

Number of players:
1

Activity:

Watch the video to find out how to make a homemade thank you card using your cork stamp.

Cut your piece of white card to size (about 26cm x 16cm, folded in half is ideal).

Use your craft knife to cut a sliver off the end of your cork – just to make sure the stamp surface is nice and flush.

Now make a small notch in the circle shape of the cork stamp – to create a little nook for the leaves.

Now just load up your cork stamp with red paint and stamp 'apples' in rows across the card.

Paint or draw  some leaves into each notch on each apple.

Use a black marker pen to write on the inside of your card!
