Cut a jack-o-lantern from a watermelon instead of a pumpkin – it’s easier and the fruit is ready to enjoy straight away!
Ingredients
- 1 whole watermelon
Method
Use a small, sharp knife to cut a circle in the top of a watermelon, like a lid.
Scoop out the flesh and reserve and carefully cut out eyes, nose and mouth.
Pop a tealight candle inside, replace the lid and your jack-o’-lantern is complete!
Note
- To make healthy Halloween treats, chop up the watermelon flesh from your jack-o’-lantern and place onto wooden skewers. Alternate watermelon with half-grapes, blueberries, raspberries and rockmelon, or whatever fruits you prefer.
