Waitomo Adventures have such a wide range of activities available that no matter what your age there is a breathtaking adventure waiting for you. The Troll Cave is perfect for families - 100% weather-proof, fully accessible and you even get to meet a troll! For the older (age restrictions apply) and bolder there are a selection of half or full day options that include caves with abseiling, caves without abseiling, blackwater rafting, glowworms, waterfalls, limestone formations and more! 

Craft Harvest Market

Come and see the amazing line-up of fresh and original, high quality hand-made craft! With new stallholders joining all the time, there's always something new to discover. Craft Harvest markets are held on the fourth Saturday of the month with extra markets during the lead up to Christmas.

Paint the Earth

Create family memories while creating a special keepsake at Paint the Earth. Choose a piece from our huge range of plates & figurines and then get painting! You can trace, stencil or free hand the design - anything goes! Prices per piece start from $20 and that includes the paint, glaze and firing. It's best to book to avoid disappointment.

International Antarctic Centre

The International Antarctic Centre is the spot for an authentic, fun and exciting Antarctic experience for visitors of all ages. Wellington Museum

Are you looking for the ultimate treasure hunt? The free Museum tells Wellington’s stories from 1892 when the building was a bond store, to crown jewels replicas, a time machine, puppets, ships, and the first McDonalds in New Zealand. A great place let the kids explore safely or for a special treasure hunt birthday party.

Ferrymead Golf

Gloputt Mini Golf

Gloputt Mini Golf - Auckland's first indoor amazing and bizarre new world of glow in the dark minigolf. This 16 hole course features climate controlled buildings, foliage, pathways and fairways illuminated with glowing technicolour, your outing will be a unique and memorable event for all.

Caddyshack City

Welcome to Christchurch's most exciting indoor all-weather mini golf experience located just a few minutes drive from the centre of Christchurch. Each of the 18 holes has a different geographical or historical theme and varying skill challenges.

Capital E

We’re an award-winning not-for-profit organisation based in Wellington, and our focus is young people and their creativity. During term time, we offer a number of free workshops that engage children’s bodies, minds and creative spirits. In the school holidays, we facilitate more comprehensive workshops for young adults, from hands-on television production experiences in to digital classes in soundtrack design, animation and VR! During term time, we also a number of free workshops that engage children’s bodies, minds and creative spirits. Every day from 11-11.30am, tamariki can take part in activities designed to introduce them to science, technology, singing, dancing and artistic creations.

Sky Tower

A truly captivating experience awaits visitors to Auckland's Sky Tower. At 328 metres, it is the tallest man-made structure in New Zealand and offers breath-taking views for up to 80 kilometres in every direction.

Little Makos Swim School

Little Makos Swim School runs a free weekly community event at the Berhampore School facility - this event is free of charge and are open all year round in term time in conjunction with our learn to swim terms. All members of the community welcome.

Southern Cross Garden Bar Restaurant

Here at The Cross we love to take care of the whole family. Rock in anytime with your little ones – while mum and dad chill with a coffee, we have toys, games and colouring activities on hand to keep the nippers amused. Plus, every Tuesday & Thursday from 10am to 12pm you can enjoy a free 10 minute massage while our lovely staff member takes your baby off your hands… heaven! 

Nairn Street Cottage

Considered one of the first houses built in Wellington, the Cottage shows a glimpse of life into three generations of one of Wellington’s original settlers; the Wallis Family. Hand carved furniture, a 1970’s Kenwood Mixer and ‘It’s in the Bag’ showing on the tiny B&W TV, this is a great place to bring the whole whanau.

Cable Car Museum

The Wellington cable car is a fun trip for any ages, providing a spectacular view over the city and tunnels full of colour on the journey – but what makes it move? The Cable Car Museum can show you how the winding system works and there is one of the original carriages to sit up on. This free Museum is well worth a visit and also hosts birthday parties.

Space Place

With the playground located on one side and the Cable Car on the other side, the Space Place is the perfect day activity location for families. Book a show in the dome planetarium; enjoy the planet space station play area and the gravity hole. Space Place’s birthday parties are out of this world too!
