Craft Harvest Market

Come and see the amazing line-up of fresh and original, high quality hand-made craft! With new stallholders joining all the time, there's always something new to discover. Craft Harvest markets are held on the fourth Saturday of the month with extra markets during the lead up to Christmas.

Wellington Museum

We’re an award-winning not-for-profit organisation based in Wellington, and our focus is young people and their creativity. During term time, we offer a number of free workshops that engage children’s bodies, minds and creative spirits. In the school holidays, we facilitate more comprehensive workshops for young adults, from hands-on television production experiences in to digital classes in soundtrack design, animation and VR! During term time, we also a number of free workshops that engage children’s bodies, minds and creative spirits. Every day from 11-11.30am, tamariki can take part in activities designed to introduce them to science, technology, singing, dancing and artistic creations.

Nairn Street Cottage

Considered one of the first houses built in Wellington, the Cottage shows a glimpse of life into three generations of one of Wellington’s original settlers; the Wallis Family. Hand carved furniture, a 1970’s Kenwood Mixer and ‘It’s in the Bag’ showing on the tiny B&W TV, this is a great place to bring the whole whanau.

Cable Car Museum

The Wellington cable car is a fun trip for any ages, providing a spectacular view over the city and tunnels full of colour on the journey – but what makes it move? The Cable Car Museum can show you how the winding system works and there is one of the original carriages to sit up on. This free Museum is well worth a visit and also hosts birthday parties.

Space Place

With the playground located on one side and the Cable Car on the other side, the Space Place is the perfect day activity location for families. Book a show in the dome planetarium; enjoy the planet space station play area and the gravity hole. Space Place’s birthday parties are out of this world too!
