Marinated chicken wings

These honey soy chicken wings are quick, cheap and easy! They go down well with kids and are great for parties or when you have lots of tums to fill.

Ingredients

  • 1kg chicken wings

    approx 10 wings

  • 2 tsp fresh ginger

    grated

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp Chinese black vinegar

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Equipment

  • 1 bowl
  • 1 baking tray

Instructions

  1. Cut wings in half at the joint. Place in bowl.
  2. Add remaining ingredients together, smother over chicken and marinate in the fridge for 12 hours.
  3. To cook, preheat oven to 200C.
  4. Place on a baking tray and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Turn over and continue cooking for a further 10 minutes.
  6. Serve hot or cold.

Tip
This marinade is quick and tasty for kids and adults.
Tip
I like to cut the wings in half, as it is more user-friendly for little hands.
Tip
These wings are also great dipped in Satay sauce.
Variation
If you can not get your hands on the black vinegar, use 2 teaspoons of red wine vinegar.
