Ingredients
1 tbsp olive oil
1 brown onion
diced
1-2 cloves garlic
crushed
1 tin (400g) crushed tomatoes
1 tsp dried basil
1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
Equipment
- 1 saucepan
Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat and add the onion.
- Gently fry the onion until translucent and add the garlic.
- Cook for 1 minute and add the crushed tomatoes and basil.
- Bring to the boil and add balsamic vinegar.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper.
- Toss through cooked pasta and serve.
