Annies – food you trust
For 33 years Annies has been making 100% fruit snacks loved by New Zealanders and the world over. Today Annies is owned by Kono, a values-led Māori owned business based in Te Tauihu (the top of the South Island). The principal values behind the Annies business are Pono, which is all about being truthful. Like the very first bar made 33 years ago, Annies fruit snacks still have only 2-3 fruit ingredients, made by people that care.
Annies airdried fruit snacks are a healthy and fun solution for kids lunch boxes, picnics, after school and sports snacks, and so much more!
Annies promise is to only ever make food you trust – this means they only use honest and wholesome ingredients. Their snacks are simple, healthy and portable, and provide inexpensive servings of some of New Zealand’s best fruit. A fun way to eat 100% fruit, children love the taste and texture.

Thank you for the box we received today! We got straight into it and little miss two year old enjoyed eating hers while chilling in the couch watching paw patrol! I may have snuck one in too….. love them!! We have enjoyed trying these snacks out, perfect way to end our Friday 😍
Loved being a part of the trial. My son and I loved these. Such a nice quick snack when we went for a bike ride. Love the flavours, couldn’t pick a favorite. Nice and convenient. My daughter wasn’t really a fan but we made up for it. These didn’t last long in the cupboard. Will definitely be trying to find these in the supermarket as my son will love them in his lunchbox.
Loved both flavours, great for mid afternoon snack. Kids all loved them, would definitely purchase. Thanks so much.
These fruit bars were a hit with my five and eight year old. They are a great and different way to add fruit to the lunchboxes when the kids are bored of the fresh fruit on offer. I like that they are only made of three ingredients and feel better offering this over dried fruit to my children. I personally liked the simple and easy to read packaging however my oldest said the packaging could be more fun, bright and kid friendly.
My 5yo son loved these! He would ask me in the morning when we were making his lunch if he could have ‘one of those special fruit things’ and it was guaranteed to be all gone when he got home. The 12yo boys grunt more than talk but I noticed they soon disappeared from their lunchboxes too!
My family (adults and 8 and 6-year-old children) enjoyed these fruit bars. They definitely feel much healthier compared to other fruit string-type products. Handy to come in a box and the price seems reasonable for a quality product. I have seen them in the supermarket and will buy again. Thanks for the box to trial.

Thanks for letting us try the Annie’s fruit flats – My 9 and 7 year old were very excited to try, sadly my 7 year old was not a fan of either flavour (we received 1 apple and raspberry bar and 1 apple and mango passion bar) but he doesn’t like dried fruit but my 9 year is a fan and was pleased she got most of both bars she has always asked for these but I haven’t purchased before as I didn’t want a whole packet that would be wasted 🙂 but the raspberry and apple was her favourite so we will re purchase that one 🙂 She said they were good and not too chewy 🙂 I love the packaging and basically the ingredients as well! And as we live in Blenheim we should support local 🙂
We were really fortunate to try Annie’s Fruit Flats. We received 1x of each flavour – Apple and Mango Passion and Apple and Raspberry.
As these were single bars, my daughter and I tried half each. As always, these were a huge hit. The Apple and Mango Passion was both of our favourites due to more flavour. We loved the yummy but not over powering Mango Passion as there were no pips which puts us off buying Passion flavoured products. The right texture of slightly chewy, not to get stuck in your teeth and I could of eaten alot more of it. Apple and Raspberry was still yummy but had a lighter flavour. Super handy tk pop inti lunchboxes or bags for a easy snack on the go that is healthy and suits all dietary needs. Much more healthier than other snack foods and never fail in taste. Just need to remind myself to buy these more often. We had ours as a Friday night snack after dinner since they arrived today in the mail.
Only received two bars and not a box, but my daughter loved it she asked if this could be part of her lunchbox! That’s a win for me as has become a bit of a fussy eater.
Packaging felt less plastic-y than usual, so perhaps paper based?
Both children excited to try, but had to wait for lunchtime! 🙂 The verdict was “yum!”
A nice treat, full of fruit
We received 1 bar of Annies apple and raspberry and 1 bar of Annies apple and mango passion fruit flats for my 7 year old to try. The packaging was rather plain and boring and it did not entice him to really want to try them. He struggled opening the packets which made it hard to get the fruit flat out of the packaging. He unfortunately did not like either of them, to my disappointment as I was hoping he would so it would mean another option for the school lunch box. He found them very hard to bite into and very tough to chew on. He also said the taste was not very nice in that they did not taste like fruit and were very harsh tasting. I also tried them and had to agree with him, they were very tough and actually quite acidic in taste. Therefore we will not be buying these in the future.
We received two fruit flats in the post yesterday afternoon: one Apple & Mango and one Apple & Raspberry. My 10 year old was really excited to say the least! He ate the Apple & Mango straightaway and raved about it. He loved it! We looked at the ingredients list and I used the opportunity to get him to add up the percentages of the different fruit in it, and he was pleased to report that it is in fact 100% fruit puree and no added ingredients. He kept asking to eat the other one but I held off until now, and he has happily reported it’s just as delicious. He said he wishes we had more, and he’s asked me to buy them for his lunches. Because we weren’t sent a box of them, I’m unsure if they’re all individually packaged or if there is a bit less packaging if you get a box of them rather than two individual flats. If they’re in individual wrappers I’d say that would be the only downside as his school lunches are rubbish-free. But as for taste, convenience, and nutritional value, we’re very happy with them! Thank you for the opportunity to try them. I’ll check at the supermarket for them now. I should note that he would have taken an unwrapped one in his lunch, except he’s home isolating at the moment!
Gone within seconds of handing them over to our two girls (5 & 3), miss 3 even went back to the empty packet looking to find more!
Great wee snack enjoyed after a day of school and preschool 🙂 would fit nicely in their lunchboxes too 😍
My girls ages 14 and 10 would love to try these please. Miss 10 especially, loves strawberry and makes her own lunch most days. She’s always asking for something different to try
My 10 year old would love to try these in her lunchbox. I think my 14 year old would also appreciate chucking one in his bag for his morning tea
2 very active boys 4&5 would love to try these
I would love to try this with my 6 and 8-year-old as a healthier alternative compared to all the over, processed and sugary stuff for lunchboxes. Love that it is in a handy size and has leas ingredients. My kids love fruit and I am always on the look out for new things to add to their lunches 😊
My girls 7 & 5 would love to be considered for this trial. They would be a great addition to their lunchboxes or snacks on the go. I personally love these as an easy snack on the run.
I have a 5 & 7 year old who love fruit. Always on the hunt for something different for the lunchboxes.
Would love to trial these – my 10 year old daughter is fruit obsessed!
I have 3 children within the age bracket (9,5 & 4 years)s I absolutely love the concept of PONO in this product as a whole and nowing 💯 what my little ones are consuming is so important. Would love for my children to try these out as they have some yummy flavours, and apricot, mangos, strawberries (their favourite) and raspberries are not always in season so these would be great to top of their 5+ a day throughout the year!
This would be great for my 5yr old to try (I suspect Miss 4 and Miss 2 will try to sneak some as well)
I have a 7 year old daughter and 8 year old son who would love to try these in their lunchboxes. Hard finding things to keep their lunches interesting.
My 7 year old son loves snacks that we can take biking/park etc, but we struggle with healthy options that aren’t full of sugar or sugar alternatives. These look great, would love to try them.
My son is going to start school soon and this would be a perfect addition to his lunch box! I am all about healthy eating and it looks like right up my alley! ❤️
My children 8 and 6 would love to try these. They sound healthy and delicious!!
my daughter loves these so much they’re a lunch box staple for us and a handy snack for me too we particularly enjoy the apple and raspberry both of my daughter’s favourite fruits ☺️
Would love to try for my 5 year old, who is a picky eater
My daughter is 5 and recently started school so this would be a great addition to the lunch box. She is an absolute fruit lover so these would not last long in our house!! I love that Annies is NZ owned and contains good ingredients.
My daughter is a fan of Annies fruit bars and will often pick one from Four Square as her ‘treat’
I have 5 children 13, 8, 5, 3 (twins)
Hi! My 3 children would love to try these please! They are 10,8 and 6 and loooove fruit!

My 10 year old daughter would love to trial these. We are always looking for new lunchbox snacks.
My 7 year old son and 4 year old daughter would love to try these. They love eating there fruit and would be handy to chuck this into the bag when we go hiking and not have to worry about them getting squashed!
I have two boys aged 12 and 9. My 9 year old isn’t a fruit fan at all (unless it’s in a muffin!) So this would a great way to get some fruit into him
These sound amazing for my 9 & 12 year olds, they love fruit and I am always looking at new ways to include it in their lunchboxes! 😊
