We got sent a jar for the SMA Little Steps Formula to try. First of all I really like the rebranding of both the design and the name. My 20 month old is definitely on the go so I was looking forward to seeing how he found this as we have tried other brands and he wasn’t too keen. He has had one every day for the last week since it has arrived so I would say it’s a win from us and it will be our new go to.
My little boy (18 mnths) is a very fussy with food and I worry hes not getting what he needs. We are busy trying out the SMA Little Steps and he loves it! It smells divine and he squeals when he sees the tin 🙂 At least I can relax a little knowing hes getting nutrients this way

I waited to make this review as I wanted my 18 month old to have 4 days of using SMA to truly track how he responds to it and how the feel of something new is for him.
I have to say the Smell when opening the tin is amazing, and it is still amazing a few days in 🙂 it smells like vanilla milkshake!!! It has a very silky smooth texture and does not stick on the hands when measuring out, also if it does get on your hands it does not make yo sticky which is a massive win!! When mixing the powder and milk it mixes quite easily and smoothly, it does not bubble up alot and then cause air bubbles, it does not accumulate and bunch up on the lid or teet of his drinking cup which makes drinking so much easier! I had a taste, as I always do with what I give my kids…it really does taste like milkshake or a milk fun drink! It was not too sweet, had flavor but was not bland or watered down, it tastes genuine.
His first sip of SMA and I heard a little mmmm like a sound of delight coming from him. When he had finished he asked me for more!
I found it did not unsettle hs tummy, no unusual nappies or break outs. I did find after day 3 of having SMA he did wake up less frequently in the evening. He was more eager for breakfast if I gave him a glass of SMA with it. He still has moment he refuses to eat but at least I have a milk drink with some vitamins to give him.
When he is full and I try give him a cup full he is not so keen, he gags…so he just wants water, so even if I gave him food he would gag too..so I have learnt to add it as a drink with food not after and then he loves it!
My 8 year old decided he wanted to try it as well, so I made him a glass….he told me that it tasted so great like marshmallows! He said he liked it was not grainy and it did not taste like a powdered drink, more like real milk! He said if he was a toddler again he would recommend it 🙂
We were lucky enough to be selected to trial SMA Little Steps® Toddler. Firstly, the packaging is a great and different to other brands I’ve seen as it wasn’t covered in pictures and info, only the necessary information was listed on the packaging with a natural looking, minimalistic front design. The product was very easy to open and the scoop easy to find and use. The product mixed with water very easily and could be used in either a bottle or soppy cup. Unfortunately my 15 month old wasn’t a fan of the flavour which is a real shame as the nutritional profile of the product is fantastic. I did give this to a friend of mine who has an 18 month old and she really enjoyed it and found that he daughter liked it and went back for more so it was definitely just my daughter who wasn’t keen on this formulation.
I received this product as part of the review team. My 3 year old has never tried a toddler-specific formula before but loves drinking milk and I feel his diet is lacking nutrients so was keen to try this. I was pleasantly surprised how readily he drank the formula considering it probably tastes different to what he is used to. He didn’t mention any difference so I will continue giving it to him instead of regular cows milk. The formula was easy to scoop and mix and the same process as any other infant formula that I’ve used before.

I have a 16 month old who is still very reliant on his bottles and wakes nightly for one still so having an alternative to give him may hopefully fill him up more with all the extra nutrients for night and his busy days exploring!
I would love for Mr One to try this out, and his older siblings would probably be eager to try some also!. I can imagine trying this in smoothies and on cereal to boost nutition intake!

Miss Maddie is a year old and i don’t have enough breastmilk for her anymore but i don’t want to give her just any old formula, SMA offers so many for 1 year olds who need extra added nutrients that they arent getting in their diet and my baby eats no solid food, everything ends up on the floor except my breastmilk. 😢
I would love to try this for my 18 month old. He is a bit of a fussy eater and hard to feed with solids so we are using Karicare formula currently to help with nutrition and growth and development. It would be great to try an alternative to see if it would work for him and open up our options.

My son is 2 & still enjoys formula in the evening before bed; he’s a man of routine & I’m happy for him to carry drinking it, because I like knowing he’s getting added nutrients. I would love to trial this to give him toddler milk in the hopes this might be better nutrition for him I’m addition to his solid meals

Hello, My child is 3 but is underweight. He was a prem baby and i constantly worry if he is getting essential nutrients. Would love to trail and see if it improves his weight.
I have two busy little girls aged 1 and 3 so this would be perfect to try as I’m always concerned about them getting adequate nutrition due to them being fussy toddlers!
My son is 15 month old and he is a very active busy toddler on the move who constantly requires some fuelling. He still gets his formula several times a day, so this one would fit his daily diet perfectly.

This would be absolutely amazing my 18 month old. We are always on the look out for products that will help him. And since he has been recovering from Bronchiolitis he has gone off his normal milk, this may be what we have been looking for to replace that 🙂
I have a 18month old little boy, he has tendencies to become very fussy at meal times and is not into eating breakfast. I always stress if he is getting enough vitamins and food as he doesn’t always eat what we give him…I have even gone to giving him breakfast smoothies as he is ok with drinking items Haha…kids!
So this would be so awesome to try out on him, it would mean I would have more peace of mind over his nutrition on days he is fussy or not eating. 🙂

I would love to try out mr 15months on this product as I have recently noticed he isn’t feeling as satisfied as he used to after he has a bottle and is wanting more but Im try not over-do as I don’t want to bloat him if that makes sense. Anyways I’d love to try him on SMA have tried other’s but only if there is a sachet options as it can be expensive buying a whole tin and he doesn’t like it
