I’m late with my review too, so busy over the holiday season doing so many things including lots of barbecues and lunches and dinnners.. and these fresh salad packs were brilliant, brilliant, brilliant! We used the recipes on Kidspot too, and chose the Southwest chopped salad to make the taco salad – it looked amazing on the table and was so tasty, and the kids even dipped in too. We also chose the Asian chopped salad with marinated pork and with the deconstructed California Roll recipe, both were also a hit with our family, and our guests. We were thoroughly satisfied with Taylor Farms chopped salad. The ease of prepacked chopped salad, the sealed freshness showing in the crunch, and the flavourful dressings – and recipes – left no excuse to not have a tasty, fresh and exciting salad dish on the table!

Wow! We had the Southwest Chopped Salad and OMG, it was brilliant! It was a super hot day and I needed something to go with our protein for dinner but was too exhausted to even consider what else to cook. So i threw the salad in a bowl, mixed in the dressing, topped it with a few cherry tomatoes and a can of corn and tada! It was way, way too easy (love that!) and the taste was fantastic. The veggies were fresh and crunchy (even though the bag had been sat in my fridge for about 5 days), the dressing was totally yum and I really liked the addition of the crunch elements – seeds and tortilla strips – genius! My kids wolfed it down – in fact, the first kid liked it so much he piled it on his plate and the rest of us almost missed out! Can’t wait to try the other flavours – these are now my go to salads for summer.

Sorry my review is so late!! I chose to try the Southwest chopped salad and the Mediterranean Chopped Salad. My favorite was definitely the Mediterranean- this was so yum! I loved the balsamic vinaigrette that came with the salad and the feta was delish! This is a great salad to bring along to a BBQ or dinner that will impress friends and family without any effort. We ate the Mediterranean salad along side a homemade quiche and it went down a treat. I will definitely be getting this mix again. Thumbs up!

The Southwest was also really good, my husband really liked this one as it had the tortilla chips and creamy cilantro dressing. I agree this is a tasty salad and perfect for Mexican night.I grabbed this flavor to go with our tacos. The kids didn’t enjoy this flavor as much as my husband and i, but i wasn’t surprised as it was quite a strong coriander taste, which my kids don’t like (all the more for us!).

Overall i was really pleased to have been given the opportunity to try Taylor Farms salads. I wouldn’t usually buy pre made salads but these are great! I will def be buying these again and love the variety of flavors to choose from. Thanks Kidspot!

Sorry I am so late with my review!
We chose the Taylor Farms Southwest Style Chopped Salad – and I paired this with some crumbed cordon bleu chicken we had – it was a stunning accompaniment! For our family of five, this bag was a bit small to make enough, but we added some crispy potatoes and bulked it up, was yummo!

Thank you for the opportunity to trial this. We trialed the Asian chopped salad as both our local Countdown & Pack ‘n Save only had this as an option which I served for Christmas lunch. It was very delicious, fresh, crispy and went well with the BBQ meats. The flavour sachet was just right in taste and quantity. However I was disappointed that neither of our local supermarkets stocked the full range. At a cost of $5.99 I am also not sure if I would be buying this as a regular despite how delicious it as the quantity within the bag is relatively minimal for a family of 4 to make this value for money. However this is a wonderful salad if you looking for a quick addition to a meal or hosting a party.

I got the southwest chopped salad. Im not a big fan if coridaner but i really enjoyed this salad! Was a great side dish to have with our bbq

We purchased the Asian chopped salad no holy smokes! So delicious! We’ve had it many times since, so tasty and even our 5 year old loves it. I simply add some chicken and you’ve got an easy 5 minute meal that tastes Devine. Our supermarkets aren’t stocking the new flavours yet but we’re excited to try them once they’re available. My only recommendation would be that they came in a bigger size, a 500g bag would be perfect.

We saved our voucher to purchase the Kale Chopped Salad to take camping up north with us. Unfortunately when we stopped off at Countdown Pukekohe ALL the Taylor Farms salads were sold out on the 22 December! We stopped in Warkworth, Wellsford and Mangawhai but could not find ANY Taylor Farms Salads 🙁

In the New Year we even made a special trip to Whangarei Countdiwn but again No Taylor Farms salads were left on the shelf.

We arrived back to Pukekohe yesterday and I am determined to see WHY Taylor Farms Salads are so blimmin’ popular even though our voucher has now expired! They must be pretty damn good!!!

With our well received voucher i purchased the Southwest Salad as this was the only one my local supermarket had in stock. It was so yum. The added crunch pieces make it just that much more. The dressing was spot on, and just the right amount. We loved it and can’t wait until the shop has more variety in.

With the remainder we purchased one of Taylors salads. The ginger and garlic one was absolutely devine. I am sold on their products. Only wish the full range was on hand.

Yes one Chopped Asian stir fry complete and empty plates all round. After all the cooking efforts around Christmas it was such a relief to stir fry some chicken in a simple sauce and add this packet of veges to deliver a healthy meal. The freshness of the salad was great and the variance of the chopping of the veges made it look attractive on serving . I love the little extras in these packets that help you to titivate your meal, in this case the noodles and the almonds particularly. This trail has heightened my awareness of all the variety on offer with these Taylor’s Salads and I am very keen to try the Greek one when I see it one the shelves. Definately makes for an easy healthy meal, fast to the table when accompanied by a lean protein a big thumbs up for me and a GO to shopping item from now on.

We went with the Asian style salad from Taylor farms because we couldn’t find the new flavours, but we will definitely be on the look out for the new ones in the near future. We had the Asian salad with left over ham from Christmas and it was so good. I love how you can see the ingredients through the packet and how it explains what’s in it. The ingredients are always so fresh and crunchy, it has great texture with with the sliced almonds and the wonton noodles! The dressing that is included is to die for! With just the right amount to go with the salad. My whole family 100% love this salad, and we get our extended family and friends over for dinner to encourage them to try as well! Can’t wait to try the new flavours.

Even though I haven’t been able to find/try the new flavours yet. These are the most delicious salads. Our family favourite is the southwestern one. I will be keeping an eye out for the new flavours because I love Taylor Farm Salads. Yum Yum. Thank you Taylor Farms.

After visiting several supermarkets searching for the new flavours, we opted on our favourite pack of Southwest Chopped Salad. This was perfect to take away on our family camping holiday. Just a medium sized bowl was needed to mix up a instant delicious side dish for the sausages as well as a filling for a delicious homemade burgers. The second packet we chose was the Asian Chopped Salad which was served with Chicken Kebabs and this flavour is such a favourite with the family that it was gone in one sitting. I cannot wait to try the new flavours once they are available in our local Pak n Save and Countdown stores. Thank you.

We tried the Kale Chopped Salad and it was so delicious we wanted another bag. The mixture of veges was just right and the Asiago cheese and crushed croutons just gave it the extra flavour and texture. But the tastiest part of all was the lemon dressing, this just finished off the salad to an amazing taste explosion in your mouth. We found the presentation is different to the rest of the brands so stood out more. Very appealing and will be buying again. It is a little pricey compared to other salads and only lasts the one dinner, just. But being differente to other salads we would buy it again. My husband wanted more, saying that so did I.

I visited 3 different Countdowns, 2 in my area and one on the North Shore. I must say the stock was very limited. I am allergic to Coriander and could only find Asian Chopped Salad and Southwest chopped salad plus a stirfry in my local visit and North Shore and then on New Years eve gave it another go and managed to get a Kale chopped Salad. So a lack of supplying the product didn’t help. When we want another Kale chopped salad I am hoping it will be in store.

Because of the lack in salad choices I took a Ginger Garlic Stir Fry. Again the presentation of the bag was better than the others and stood out more. It was tasty but not much of it, the bag would only feed our 2 young kids if we gave them their normal amount for dinner. We found the kale became very limp but edible. The kids also enjoyed it, but wanted more as they love there veges, but I had to say sorry it is all gone.

Overall I would buy the Kale chopped Salad again and would like to try the Meditteranean Chopped Salad. Thank you for letting our family be one of your samplers.

Thanks so much for including us in this trial…. we purchased southwestern and Asian salads from our New World in Wanganui (these were the only two flavours they stocked). I really loved that they were just so easy to prepare – opening packets and pouring in – we added some cooked chicken to the Asian salad and made it a meal. The bags easily fed the four of us and although the kids weren’t that fussed on the southwestern we had it the next day in breadrolls – it was so delicious.

We tried the southwestern and Asian salads was looking out for new ones but not out in my life cal supermarkets yet. Both salads good with tasty dressing. Small bag for the price but was able to easily bulk it up with extra spinach. Will buy again and looking forward to new ones. We are currently in AUS on holiday and found their supermarket salads are gross nothing like ones from the trial here

We tried the southwest and honestly it was perfect for summer. We definitely won’t eat bbq chicken without this goodness!!

  19. terry100 05/01/2018 at 7:57 am

Thank you for the opportunity to try these. The Countdown we went to only had the Southwest and Asian flavours so I grabbed one of each of these. The packaging was appealing with all the colours but I think the size of the bags could have been larger. I loved the fact they had everything you needed and was ready to just tip into a bowl. We served the Asian flavour at a BBQ and this was definitely a hit. I found the dressing was just the right amount and the salad looked great especially with the added noodles. Unfortunately the Southwest flavour was not a hit with our family, we almost found it a bit bland, and we felt this particular flavour needed more dressing. However, we would definitely consider purchasing the Asian flavour again and look forward to seeing the other flavours in the range available.
