Update – the rubbish bag went out to the big rubbish bin today after 4 days in the kitchen bin. There is no bad odour coming from the bin but I can’t say I can smell the French vanilla either though. I have not used scented bags before so I cannot compare how strong they would smell after four days. I would buy Glad with Ambi Pur as the size of the bag is excellent and it seems to have done what it says it should. Would you consider having other scents too? Personally I love citrus and coconut scents in my home.
Thanks for choosing me to trial the bags. I received the bags on the 30th Nov so have been using the last 3 days. The smell straight out of the packet is strong but once in the rubbish bin I can’t smell the vanilla, however I can’t smell the rubbish like normal either so I feel like the odour neutralising technology is working. The bags I was sent were large and we have a small bin in both our kitchen and bathroom so I can’t say how the durability of the bag when filled to full capacity is, but for what we put in there the bag did not tear like other bin liners we have purchased in the past.
Thank you for selecting us to trial the Glad Handle Tie Kitchen Tidy Liners with Ambi Pur. These are such a great idea! The Ambi Pur fragrance was subtle and not at all over powering. The large bags were a great size and extremely strong. I also liked the fact that the handles were long enough to tie to secure the rubbish. These bags could be utilised in many different ways – the kitchen, for nappies and with the upcoming warmer weather and barbeque season will be great to stop that smelly, warm rubbish smell. The smaller bags would be useful for kindy and playcentre to bring home wet clothes. I’ll definitely be adding this product to my shopping list and will recommend to friends and family.
Thank you for choosing me to trial these bags. I have to say I’m not that much of a fan. I can hardly detect the scent and am now onto bag #3 and still not much fragrance. They have a cut grass/trees smell to me rather than vanilla and it certainly doesn’t hang around for too long. I was sent large bags which are HUGE – that’s my photo above of the bag totally swallowing my bin! They seem sturdy enough although not as tough as my current Glad Kitchen tidy bags I use. My kitchen bin is emptied about once a day as I don’t like rubbish sitting around for longer than that but as mentioned above, what fragrance there was didn’t linger for very long. I guess everyone has different sensitivity to scents and this one just doesn’t do it for me! Thanks again for the trial.
I’m definitely a fan! These work really well and the vanilla fragrance is subtle so you don’t really notice it too much (which is great). I actually tested whether they would still hold good for 4 days as it says on the pack and can confirm they do the job. I think they are a fantastic idea, especially in summer time. If you created an even larger rubbish bag version for the outdoors bin I’d also be keen on that 🙂
I was an instant fan, I love anything and everything vanilla. These bags are a generous size and didn’t tear. I usually buy a cheap scented bags that rip and do not kill the Oder. With these bags you can’t even tell there are stinky nappies in there. Truely an awesome product! We will buying these going forward! Thanks heaps for letting me try them out!
I have received my trial pack last 30 Nov. I have tried it right away. I like the faint smell of vanilla scent with the bag. The bag is not too thin and thick but it is sturdy. I like that it fits perfectly in our rubbish bin in the loo. When we enter our loo and use the toilet seat, we instantly did not smell the foul odour coming from the bin unlike before. We were totally surprised, so no need for us to spray air freshener, this will save us a ton. It has been three days now and yet we do not smell the foul odour. I highly recommend this product and I will definitely use it again. Would recommend this to friends. Thank you for letting me try it. I hope there would be other scents in the future.
Yay I received these two days ago and couldn’t wait to give them a try in my nappy bin. The size is fantastic. They are large enough to fit in our big bin and hang over the edge so the bag doesn’t fall inside the bin every time a nappy goes in. The smell is vanilla which is strong but not overpowering. I have put pooey nappies in the bin and the vanilla works very well to disguise the smell. They feel tough and out of curiosity I tied the handles together to see if they would rip and they were fine. Overall a wonderful product for the bin. I highly recommend buying them.
We received the Large size and Im sold!!! (hubby will be told to buy only these from now on!!!) The scent is subtle almost not there, but they certainly stop the odor – the nappy bin, absolutely tolerable now, the rubbish bin in the kitchen no longer stinky!!! I love the handles, as we have large pull out rubbish bin drawers (recycling and rubbish) and the handles allow us to tuck the tops away without getting caught in the pull out side hinges, and the best bit of all they are certainly strong and made much thicker than your normal cheapo rubbish bin bags, so no rips and the handles make for an easy tie at the top without them ripping! These are awesome, 10 out of 10, if you are looking for a new rubbish bag, these are the ticket!
The very first thing that appealed to me about the Glad Kitchen Tidy Liners with Ambi Pur, was the vanilla scent! I also found the sizing to be very generous and the bag it self very easy to remove from the bin. I would definitely recommend this product everyone, as it really does do a great job of keeping the oder of smelly rubbish at bay. Think.I better go out and stock up because I have a feeling these are gonna be in high demand and will be flying of the shelves.
I used this product in my grandsons nappy bin and my grandson has had a bout of upset tummy .I was quite surprised that the bin didn’t smell as usually I screw my nose up and am emptying continually .Hubby used to put his sweaty dirty hunting clothes in and the car didn’t smell when he took them out .Used in the kitchen bin and it did smell nice and when the bag was nearly full it wasn’t unpleasant. My thoughts are good product Id like to see a even larger one for those who have bigger bins .Like the smell strength and design overall great product.
I love this product! The scent is actually really subtle and really nice – which is so hard to get a good balance with! I always find anything scented too strong and overpowering or its barely scented like it claims to be! The handles are nice and sturdy which are important in a large rubbish bag in my opinion – no matter how lovely and smelly it is, if the rubbish ends up on the floor because the handles break, its pretty much a fail in my opinion! The size is great and the plastic is nice and thick and sturdy. I am one of ‘those people’ who put nappies in the kitchen bin because my laundry rubbish bin is downstairs and I’m normally too lazy or too busy to go downstairs and so my bin does sometimes get smelly when you open it! Its not very appetising! I would highly recommend these rubbish bags to anyone who puts food in the bin too – it doesn’t take long until last night’s lamb chop bones start stinking, especially in the warm weather we are about to come across this summer! 🙂
so got my packs for review the other day and i must say im converted after using even just the first one. the vanilla smell is amazing, other brands that do the lemon and lavender etc all have like a burnt plastic small that goes with them but these don’t the smell is amazing, and there not over powering either there just a subtle small but they cover nasty smells. i’ve used ours in our nappy bin as well as the bin in the bathroom and i cant smell anything nasty while using them there fantastic. i will be not only buying more but recommending them to whoever asks and even those who dont (lol) the size of the bags is good too. we got the large size and although its not big enough to use in our kitchen (where the worst rubbish is) but i can use it in all others and there sturdy no ripping when there over filled and the hold smell well, initially i thought that the vanilla smell might disappear fast and the yuck smell would come back but that is no way the case the amazing vanilla smell lasted until we changed them. A++++++ review from me
Just received the bag 2 days ago! I have to say the bag is amazing! The size is a good fit to the bin ( Large size I received) and smells great! The scent is not too overpowering, but it definitely mask the odour I have in the bin ( usually nappies, dog poop newspaper) I now dont even need to close the lid of the bin to prevent bad odour from coming out! I didnt receive this but decided to try them out anyway. I have to say these have been great. The fit is awesome for our big bin. Usually I struggle to find a bag that fits. The handles are great making it easy to remove no matter how full the bin is. Best thing is that it keeps the bad smells at bay. Im not a huge fan of the vanilla smell when the bag first goes in but I appreciate it keeps bad smells under control.
As soon as I received my glad ambi pur bags I put one in our Kitchen bin. I instantly liked the scent of the bag, it wasn’t to over powering but masked the scent of dirty nappy and meat trays. They are a good size and i like the fact that they come with handles for easy pulling out of the bin and easy tie up. The bag didn’t tear when removing from the bin and after being in the bin for 3 days has no stinky rubbishy odour coming from the bag which is great. I was quite impressed with these rubbish bags and will definitely be picking some up from the supermarket at our next shop.
Very impressed with these- they are lightweight yet strong and the scent is not over powering but definitley masks any odours easily-my son’s nappies are no match! One bag lasted us two whole days, with 5 0f us thats good, and it didnt tear when I lifted it out! I also used one for garden waste to see how it went , and it even handled that. 5 stars from us, Glad.
these are brilliant. the vanilla smell is so nice. we were all going around sniffing the bin. the bags are a good generous size so fit all size bins. the bag stays fresh smelling also giving time to fill up the bag. it was easy to tie up after removing and no leakage or ripping. Highly recommend them
My glad bags arrived a couple of day ago. Put one in the kitchen and bathroom bins, the vanilla scent was lovely and not too strong which was great as im not a vanilla scented lover. So two days and the kitchen bin is still fresh smelling and standing up strong to those horriable meat packages. The bathroom bin where the lovely used nappies are dispoved of, are being keep order free which is making the whole family pleased. The handles tied up nicely and the bag was very strudy. Would fully recommend people try these out for them selves

My samples of Glad Handle Tie Liners with Ambi Pur arrived at my work address today. I couldn’t wait to rip into them and have a sniff! Delish French Vanilla scent. I have been aware that Vanilla neutralises odours – don’t you use it when cleaning the fridge? I’ve emptied my kitchen bin and popped a Glad bag in to test – will let you know what happens throughout the week. I love the size of the bag – much better than recycling a shopping bag as I have in the past. I wonder how environmentally friendly these bags are? I know my supermarket bag isn’t – but at least I feel I am re-using it before throwing it away. I’ll do sniff test in a few days and see what the French vanilla is like.
As soon as the Glad Kitchen Tidy Liners with Ambi Pur arrived I opened one and put it into our large kitchen bin. I quite like the smell and it isn’t too overpowering. It seemed to cover up any rubbishy type of smell. The bag is a good size and reaches down to the bottom of our bin. The only problem that I have with it is that the opening needs to be larger as it doesn’t fold back over our bin all around so I noticed as our bag got fuller, the rubbish dragged it down making more holes around the edges so some of the rubbish our family put into the bin didn’t quite make it into the bag and fell into the holes into the bin. Apart from this it is a decent size bag. So because of this reason I probably wouldn’t buy them again unless this was changed. I like that it has two handles which makes it easy to tie up and throw out.
These arrived yesterday and I’m loving the vanilla scent! Not too over the top but definitely a noticeable fragrance. There is one in the bin right now – size wise the bag is bigger then my bin but that is not a bad thing. Too soon to be able to report back on how effective it will be to combat the ‘pong’ but will update soon…
My bags arrived this morning, straight away I replaced our generic brand black rubbish bags and used a glad kitchen tidy liner. Wow was my first reaction. Perfect size, nice (and not too overpowering) aroma and love the handy handles. Definitely useful especially when I put a fish carcase in it. NO Fishy smell and that’s always a bonus. I even threw out our old rubbish bags and put these on the top of the shopping list.

They arrived on Saturday and i immediately popped one into the kitchen bin for a test. First impressions, packaging very appealing as can be expected by GLAD, well presented sample packs, with the noticeable Vanilla Flower Pic which was even more enticing to a huge vanilla fan. Opened up the sample pack and i dont know about others but i barely smelt anything, based on that i had to reconsider how fast i judged this product. I then proceded to use this Glad Ambi Pur Bag for the next three 3 days till today when i had to throw it out. The bags themselves are very sturdy and strong and they have a tie close like a plastic bag which really makes taking the trash out easier. Sadly, i must say that i was disappointed. My usual bags are the Glad Roll of bags and they contain a scent as well – That of Lavender. I find that their fragrance last alot longer and is still sublte enough. Overall, well packaged and presented, great size and ease of use but not for me. I will stick to my GLAD Roller Ball.Pics above… 🙂
Arrived today and as soon as I open the envelop the smell comes out. It is. A great smell and good size bags, one in the bin now and seems to be working well. Will keep you posted so far so good

Absolutely love these bags! The vanilla scent is crisp without being overpowering and it really does keep the odour under control. We tried them in our kitchen bin which is in a very warm part of the house (especially when the sun shines). Usually I have to change the bin liner every other day because of the smell, even when the bag is not full. With these ambi pur bags I can wait until the bin is full (usually about 4 days). The size is good too (we had the large ones) and the handle ties make it easy to dispose. We used Glad bags previously but the lavender scent was a bit strong and more recently used Eco bags but the odour is too much after a couple of days. We will definitely be switching to these heaven-scent bags 😉
