Another quick update. We had miss 5s friends over for a playdate, the favourite toy of the afternoon? The little tikes activity garden! They played with it in a different way to miss 21 months using their imagination and taking turns each sitting inside. They were posting all sorts of toys into the letter box to see which would fit where, the telescope was used to spot “bag guys” trying to take their “mail” and the ball drop kept score of how many things could fit in the letterbox. This toy is so fun and versatile. And since posting my friend has bought one for her son as she saw how entertaining it was!

Thank you for giving our family the opportunity to review the Little Tikes Activity Garden. This toy comprises of multi set configurations (close square vs open two sided center) and multiple brightly colored baby and toddler toys and activities which encourages motor skill and cognitive mobility development.
I have two children; master 2.5 years and miss 6 months old. My son was absolutely excited from the time the package arrived at the door. The item comes in a single large rectangular box which demonstrates clearly the toy configuration options. This toy does require adult assembly which took approximately 45 minutes. My 2.5 year old son really enjoyed helping me build it. We had to use our own screwdriver and whilst there were many pieces and 3 different sized screws, the instructions provided made the step by step assembly process straight forward. I would suggest to get a bit of space to allow you to lay out all of the parts to get a good idea of where everything is. Also the play center activity panel required 2xAAA battery installation. The overall part fit was good and my son enjoyed learning how to use the screw driver. The construction is robust, and the building process was an activity in itself. My son likewise enjoyed the decorating process with the supplied decals and this set kept him busy for some time.

We primarily kept the square set up configuration. My 2.5 year old enjoyed the mailbox shape sorter which he figured out quite quickly and really had a blast with the look through telescope. The ball drop and Tap-a-Tune piano were minimally played with which is more a reflection of his age/interests. After a few days he had become less interested in all the smaller movable parts and the toy has become more like a pretend playhouse/shop and I noted he was bringing his other favorite toys into it and using some of the parts for pretend play and could still easily spend 20+minutes within the toy setup.
My 6 month daughter was kept well entertained by the small brightly colored play center activity board which conveniently can be set up in either horizontal or vertical configuration. She enjoyed pressing the bird noise button and flicking the built in ball and spinning butterfly. As she is still not crawling or sitting unsupported she best enjoyed the play center activity board by sitting in her bumbo floor chair. She was too small to use the slide at this stage , however I did use it as a support during tummy time which she liked. I definitely know that she will enjoy all of the other parts like the slide and moving gate once she is crawling.
I liked the fact that the Little Tikes Activity Garden was equipped with so many features for a broad age group (6 months -3 years) that both my kiddies were able to play simultaneously with, which was lovely. From my experience I would also like to mention that while it is very dependent on the individual child’s interests, 2.5 years of age would be at the upper age limit that I would consider buying this toy as you may be relying more on imaginary play.
The only negative I found was the base that the play center display panel slides in and out of – the release catches are not intuitive – requiring to press the tab for release while trying to pull the unit out at the same time. I have pinched my fingers several times now unfortunately.
On the whole I would definitely be recommended this product as it provides plenty of entertainment and learning opportunities for babies through to toddler years especially as in my case I found it allows for siblings to play well together due to multiple activity options.

So our 3 year old son was lucky enough to receive the lawn mower- unwrapping and easily putting together he was able to help! The look on his face when he discovered it came with a petrol can was priceless, a little boys dream! Hours spent up and down the hall way during a rainy weekend and once the sun came out it was outside with dad side by side mowing the lawns together even putting petrol in together! Well made, good real sounds and buttons! Very good toy, kids like real life play and this sure ticks the boxes!

So Mykah and I were lucky enough to review the Cozy Coupe for past couple of weeks and what a 2weeks it’s been. Upon its arrival there was an immediate change in the threeanger attitude I’d been experiencing for the few weeks prior and before I could say Mykah he was ready with the box and scissors to open it up.
There is abit of assembly involved but nothing overly hard and although it recommends using an electric drill we dont have this so used a hammer where needed and a Philip’s screw driver …its easy enough for us mummas to do without the assistance if a man if your single mum like me.
I hadn’t even finished building before Mykah was into it pretending to be on a kart racing the bad guys around the track and getting away from zombies (pic included) once we had finished building it without the roof until a better hammer arrived Mykah was straight outside in it, at one stage it did this very cool and accidental skid which he thought was awesome and became a magical car (caught tale end in a video included) the following days cozy coupe was played with and parked in its “VIP” parking area (as seen in pic) Mykah was incredibly protective of it and big brothers wernt allowed anywhere near it …it was kind of cute that he loves it that much but also was a good way to remind him of taking turns and sharing if a friend ever came over. Mykah often played race cars, he was a postie on a few occasions too and would zoom upto the letterbox and collect our mail putting it in the tray at back before returning. He would always remove the key so that no one could take his beloved car and pretended it also had a car alarm (I’m not sure where he got this from as until 2 days ago we disnt have a car nor a car alarm around haha)
Mykah is quite big for his age hes just turned 4 and the coupe is certainly robust and big enough for him which I think is really awesome , he will deff get at least another year out of it yet. Mykah loves how real his car is with all the smaller details like being able to lock the door and turn the key, toot the horn all males for more fun imaginary play.

We have been lucky enough to host the Little Tikes Cozy Coupe for the past couple of weeks. My daughter has a balance bike, but nothing close to this lovely little car, so we were really keen to see what she made of it.

When she first saw the box she was incredibly excited to get in. In fact, she got into the car and started ‘using it’ without any wheels or roof (her sound effects made up for both)! Having assembled the car we were very impressed with how solid and sturdy it seemed- we felt like it was going to keep going for a long time which is so rare in toys these days. Our daughter was so excited to start using the car, and we were really pleased that she was able to access and use all of the main features herself.

We did not add the floor to the car as, at the age of 2.5, she is capable of pushing it herself. We were intrigued to find that she was able to move the car backwards more easily than forwards. Over a period of a few hours (yes- it held her attention for a long time on each use) she gradually got to grips with moving forwards herself. This was a great sense of achievement for her and, once she worked out what to do, there was no stopping her. We were impressed that there was a handle for parents to use. If our daughter got tired we could use it, and it also allowed us to guide her around for the first wee while.

I have been very impressed with the manouverability of this little coupe. We have a couple of tight spaces in our house, and in each case our daughter has been able to move through with ease, once she has had a little practice. The car is also designed that if there is the odd accidental bump to a wall, it doesn’t leave any marks or dents- a huge relief for my hubby who has just painted our living room. I would say that this is a fantastic tool to develop spatial awareness and gross motor skills- which was not something I was expecting.

The flexibility of using the car in multiple locations has also been fantastic. Our daughter has enjoyed puttering about both inside and outside, on hard surfaces, carpet and grass. In each case she has had to work out how best to move it, and how to stop successfully. I have really enjoyed watching her learn- something I’m sure she will use again and again in other applications.

She has had as much fun using it by herself as with us. We often find her ‘taking the car’ to get ‘shopping or ‘takeaway’. She has loved using the space in the ‘boot’ for her drink bottle, and despite being beautifully slim-bodied, being able to put a toy in the seat next to her to drive with them. It has been a great way to teach her about traffic lights, reiterated our normal car safety practices such as looking where we are in a car park and always wearing a seat belt, as well as what to do in an emergency. I can see that this car will continue to be used for a long time to come as, with how flexible it is, it will continue to provide hours of entertainment as our daughters tastes and abilities extend and grow.

Overall, our daughter has loved this car. We have had a blast in multiple environments and playing out multiple scenarios with her. She has had to extend herself physically and mentally to use the car, and this is something which I can see her continuing to grow with as she extends herself further. This is a perfect present for any curious preschooler- entertaining, practical and incredibly sturdy and robust. I cannot recommend this more highly, and I’m sure that any child receiving this will be suitably entertained for hours.

The little tikes activity garden has held the attention of both my youngest girls 20 months and 5 years. I put batteries in the little bird music box and unlike other toys the music isn’t annoying if pushed 100x times. It’s a nice short little Melody and has two volume settings.
Miss Clover has now got the shape sorter letterbox down, she is a pro! Absolutely love seeing the progress she’s making in her learning with the different aspects of the activity garden.
Her new favorite part is the percussion xylophone. She makes music and bops along for ages.
We still have it set up in a square but next week I will open it up and see if that changes how she plays with it.
Another update soon and more pics too!

My daughter was so excited to get her own lawn mower!
The set up was easy, clip the attachments in place and off she was. Great features – the pull start, the speed dial, jerry can and popping when it starts moving to emulate the lawnmower sounds. A real world toy which is perfect for her pretend play stage and very safe. A fantastic unisex product.

Our Little Tikes Activity Garden arrived today! Miss Clover (20 months) was so excited to see the box, exclaiming “wow” over and over. Mummy didn’t realize the how many pieces there are to put together, definitely had i done it over i would have put it together during nap time. It took me about an hour as I made sure to read the instructions slowly so it was done right. They were clear instructions with good step by step pictures and explanations. The garden comes with quite a few pieces and 30 screws, you will need a regular size screw driver plus a thinner one of a few of the more narrow slots. Once it started coming together her excitement went next level.
After i had finished and added the final touches of the decals she was ready to climb in and check it all out. She was drawn to the balls first, they were exciting to watch fall down and see if they would drop down into the inside or the outside of the window. At this point miss 5 decided to come and check it out too, and i was surprised that they both managed to fit inside when configured in a square shape! Miss 5 wanted to show miss 20 months how to sort the shapes for the letterbox. They had fun playing with the shapes but it held the 5 year olds attention more than the 20 month old. However I do expect the more she plays with it, the better she will get at it and the more she will enjoy it!
Im really pleased with the range of activities and I see the Activity Garden holding Clovers attention longer than most toys as there are all different kind of things to explore and play with within the one toy.
    More soon!

My 2 1/2yr old granddaughter absolutely loves the Cozy Coupe that she plays on at daycare, I’d love to be able to give her one of her own, which would then be passed down to my 1yr old granddaughter when she has outgrown it. Little Tikes toys are built to last so they will get years of enjoyment out of it 🙂
