Trio Toothbrush | Review

Trio Toothbrushes are the first step toward a simpler, faster, and more effective brushing experience for the whole family! Kick brushing struggles to the kerb and watch for reviews coming soon.

Designed with science – and smiles – in mind, Trio Teeth have reimagined the classic toothbrush with a signature three-sided brush head, built to clean the front, back, and top surfaces of each tooth simultaneously. Unlike traditional brushes that require careful angling, the Trio Toothbrush surrounds each tooth for a more thorough clean – helping to reduce plaque buildup and improve oral care.

Trio Toothbrushes are gentle yet effective, featuring soft, safe bristles that protect delicate gums and tooth enamel. The ergonomic handle feels comfortable for both kids and adults, making it easy to grip and control.

Designed for everyone

Whether you’re shopping for toddlers, teens, or yourself, the Trio Toothbrush is for all ages. It’s particularly helpful for:

  • Children with sensory sensitivities or challenges who may find brushing uncomfortable or overwhelming.
  • Kids with ADHD or difficulty focusing on brushing, since the three-sided design makes the process quicker and more intuitive.
  • Families who struggle with fussy brushing habits – the simplicity and efficiency help make oral care less of a battle.

Trio Toothbrushes are available at participating New World and Pak N Save stores or purchase online at trioteeth.co.nz.

Angelgirl081 We are a house full of neurodivergents, so tooth brushing time is definitely a struggle. As an ADHD and ASD adult, I hate how long brushing your teeth takes and how boring it can be, but also the way it feels. My daughter is also ADHD and ASD and struggles with the same things. This product looks perfect to help overcome these challenges and make teeth time fun again, plus they look really pretty, which would mean my child is more likely to use them coz her brain gets dopamine from bright colours and things that look aesthetic. I also love the idea of the 3 sided brush head and ergonomic grip as it will make brushing quicker and more comfortable for the both of us.

I have tried different brushes with character pictures and interesting designs but nothing does the trick. We were lucky enough to get the free trial for these. My son is 10 with ADHD and has a lot of trouble brushing his teeth properly and for the required amount of time. He enjoyed using this toothbrush a lot more than the usual one and said that he found it easier to use (brushing for the required time is still a work in progress)
I would definitely look into getting one of these for my daughter as well.
I would definitely recommend for anyone whose kids have trouble getting all the sides of the teeth as it seems to make it a bit easier for them to do so being 3 sided.

My daughter is 6 years old and I registered to trial this toothbrush as we have an unpleasant teeth brushing experiences daily due to difficulties reaching all areas of my daughters mouth to properly brush her teeth and it takes longer than the recommended time of two minutes leaving her parents and her feeling very frustrated!
The trio toothbrushes were very easy to use and make reaching all the tricky places in my daughter’s mouth easy to get to and clean due to the triangular design. Because of this it enables her teeth to be cleaned in the two minute timeframe and provides a happier and positive experience for my daughter and her parents!
I will definitely purchase these toothbrushes in the future and would recommend them to others with children as a toothbrush that is easy to use with children who find toothbrushing a challenge and who want a product that cleans teeth well and gives you piece of mind that the product is effective!

We received 1 child and 1 adult Trio Toothbrush to review last week and my 8 year old and I have been using them for the past week.
We originally registered for the trial because in our neurodivergent household, tooth brushing can be a struggle, my kids especially, struggle to remember to brush their teeth (because it’s boring) and then often rush through teeth brushing as it is uncomfortable, and again boring.
The 3 sided brush head and ergonomic handle of the Trio Toothbrushes, seemed like something that may alleviate these issues for us and make brushing easier and more consistent for our family, so we were keen to give them a go.
Miss 8 liked the pastel colour scheme of the toothbrush and we both liked the fact that the child’s one was smaller than the adults one (for smaller mouths). The handle is comfy and we didn’t get grip fatigue, while using them. Miss 8 said that it was fun to use, but it did take her a while to get used to, as the first few times it did hurt her gums, which is obviously not very pleasant. I agree that it does take a bit of getting used to as you have to brush your teeth a bit differently than a standard toothbrush. We are both used to brushing all over the teeth with back and forth and circular motions, however with this brush, you just need to go back and forth across the top of the teeth as the side brushes clean the front and back of the teeth. Once we had got used to this new way of brushing though, it felt much better and was also a lot quicker. The 3 sided brush is also quite a novelty and so my daughter was excited to brush each time which is a bonus too. I liked the fact that the brush is also flexible, so where you have wider teeth at the back of the mouth, the 3 sided brush would flex/expand to slide over those teeth too, which is great and didn’t hurt my gums.
We would probably purchase this product again, the only thing was that it was a bit difficult to brush my tongue, although there are raised bumps on the back of the brush (I am not sure if these are intended to be a tongue scrubber or not), I prefer to brush with the bristles, but this was a bit tricky with the shape of the brush, but other than that, everything about the Trio Toothbrush is great for us and I would recommend these tooth brushes to anyone who struggles with toothbrushing or sensory issues.

I loved this toothbrush. It makes brushing so much easier with the three sides. Its soft so it doesnt hurt your teeth and brushing your teeth takes less time. I love it because its light and really easy to use. My son who is 7 with ADHD and Sensory issues loves it because it makes brushing quicker and because of the bristles the sensory issue isn’t an issue. He will actually happily brush his teeth without complaining

Our kid is almost 2 years old. Brushing teeth always a challenge for us and try to brush teeth properly is even harder. With this toothbrush , we found that less time is needed to brush his teeth despite the fact that he still cries when we are brushing his teeth . However he enjoys playing with the toothbrush himself and is very much attracted to the colorful toothbrush and design . He now will ask for the toothbrush at night when we say time to brush brush. The design allow us to brush his teeth more efficiently with less effort needed to angle the toothbrush at the right angles. I would recommend to others especially those parents who struggle to brush teeth especially at those different angles at the back .

We were lucky enough to trial out this awesome tooth brush , my boy has autism and really struggles with sensory issues. In general just trying to use a normal toothbrush is difficult but this design makes it so much easier as it’s reaching all the places within a short frame time. Would definitely recommend this to anyone who has a child similar
