Baby Exercise: Sit ups

Babies grow so quickly and are not little for long enough. Embrace the time you have with your baby and do some great activities with them to help them develop and thrive. Baby exercise is wonderful for bonding and excellent for development.

What you need:

  • a baby
  • play mat

 

Activity:

Lay your baby on the play mat on her back.

Hold both of her hands, slowly and gently pull up.

She will start to lift her head and crunch her belly as she gets a little higher.

Lower her to the floor and repeat a few times.

Notes:

  • Your baby should be able to support her own head before attempting this activity.
