What you need:

• 2 sheets of A4 paper
• crayons
• scissors
• stapler
• brush

Activity:

Get your child to decorate their A4 page.

Fold your page in half, lengthways.

Cut evenly spaced incisions from the folded side almost to the other side.

Unfold and staple the widths of the page together to form a cylinder that will now resemble a lantern.

Staple a strip of paper on each side at the top of the lantern to form a handle.

Notes:

• You could decorate the lanterns with paint, stickers, pencils or markers.
• These lanterns look great when you make a few and string them across your child’s room.
