Activity:
Create your quick chocolate cupcakes recipe and decorate it with your favourite coloured buttercream icing.
Starting at the top and working around your cupcakes, create a clock face. You can do this with the buttercream icing in an opposite colour to the cake top. If you can't fit every number on the cupcakes, just start with the 3,6,9 and 12.
For younger kids, keep it simple and work to the o'clocks. Make a series of cupcakes with different times on each one.
Games to play:
- Have a guessing game to see who can guess the time on the cupcakes
- Line up the cupcakes in order from earliest to latest.
- Mention times of the day like "lunch time" or "dinner time" and see who can point to the cake first.
- Print our worksheet on times to see who was paying attention!
