Create an apple print caterpillar

This apple print caterpillar is a great activity for the kids. All you need is an apple, knife, paint and some googly craft eyes to make this cute apple print caterpillar. Watch our video tutorial to show you how.

What you need:

• tea towel
• sharp knife
• paint and paintbrush
• paper
• googly eyes
• adult assistance

Watch the below video to see how you can create an apple stamp caterpillar.

Simply cut the apple in half from top to bottom and blot any excess moisture from the apple on a tea towel.

Brush paint onto one of the apple stamps, and then stamp out your caterpillar body onto the paper, reapplying paint every two to three stamps.

Cut out a wedge shape in the other apple half – this will form the caterpillar feet.  

Next, pick up the other apple wedge stamp and stamp feet onto your caterpillar body. You can also stamp these as antennas on the head of the caterpillar.

Stick on googly eyes or draw them on and you have an apple stamp caterpillar!
