Remember playing elastics when you were a kid? With just a long piece of elastic and a couple of pairs of willing ankles, elastics was the ultimate game of fun.
Even better were the great jingles you sang as you jumped! Such a great retro party game to keep the kids entertained.
What you need:
- Elastic (about 3 metres) tied or sewn into a circle
- A couple of friends or two chairs (optional – see notes)
Activity:
Ah, so many happy days spent playing elastics outside as a child! Get your kids in on the fun by introducing them to the fun.
Just in case you’ve forgotten the accompanying jingles, we’ve dug a few of our favourites out of the archives and given you step-by-step directions on them below. Just print and begin!
Notes:
If there are not enough children to play, or everyone wants a turn, just pop two sturdy chairs at either end of the elastics and create some make-shift feet.
