Jigsaw puzzle creations

Show off your art in a different way. Make your own puzzle of the art you have created at kinder or school. Puzzle your pictures, photos, family and friends with your new art.

What you need:

  • an A4 sized picture* (see notes)
  • an A4 piece of cardboard
  • glue
  • pencil
  • scissors

Number of players:
1+

Activity:

Glue your picture onto the cardboard.

Make sure you glue every part of the page to the cardboard.

Set aside to dry.

On the back of the cardboard divide the area into pieces, using a pencil.

Draw diagonals, angles or try traditional jigsaw pieces.

Remember the bigger your pieces are the easier you puzzle is to complete.

Cut out these different shapes. 

See how long it takes you to put it back together.

Notes:

  • Make a letter puzzle. Instead of using an image write a secret message to someone. Follow the puzzle activity making steps and then put your pieces inside an envelope to give to your message receiver.
  • *Your picture may be a drawing you have drawn, a treasure map you have made, a picture printed from your computer, a photograph, or a painting you have made.
