Make your own glitter paint

Sparkly paint is so much more fun and pretty than ordinary paint! Make your own with this homemade glitter paint recipe.

What you need:

• large bowl
• 1 cup flour
• 1 cup salt
• 1/2 – 3/4 cups water
• squeeze bottles
• food colouring
• paper

Activity:

In a large bowl mix flour, salt and water.

Mix it all together.

Pour the mixture in a few plastic squeeze bottles.

Add different food colourings to each bottle. Give it a good shake to combine thoroughly.

Children can squeeze the contents of the bottle onto paper to create a painting.

The salt makes the mixture glitter when the painting is dry.
