Make your own mud dough

No! This is not actually mud but is a dough you can easily make at home that looks like the stuff you find in the garden! Have fun with your kids making this simple dough they can then use to create all sorts of special arty objects with.

What you need:

•  ½ cup cold water
• 1 tbsp cooking oil
• 2 tbsp brown tempera paint
•  ½ cup salt
• 1 tbsp cornstarch
• 1 ½ cups white flour

Activity:

Place all the ingredients in a large bowl and stir together.

Once roughly combined, turn the mixture out onto a table and knead it until it has become smooth.

The mud dough can now be moulded into any shape your children like.
