Popsicle stick coasters

So, you have the mug full of choccies ready for the kids to give to mum or nana this Mother's Day and you are thinking: "Just one more little thing to put with it would be nice". Well, here it is! A handmade coaster decorated by none other than your little artist! Perfect.

What you need:

• popsicle sticks – 13 per coaster
• PVA glue
• paint
• paintbrush

Step 1. Gather your supplies.

Step 2. Line up 11 popsicle sticks so they are touching length-ways.

Step 3. Cover one side of the remaining two popsicle sticks in PVA glue and lay them across the top and the bottom of the lined up 11 popsicle sticks.

Step 4. When dried, turn the coaster over and decorate with paint.

Notes: Decorate with paints, sequins or any of mum's favourite things, but remember to keep a flat surface near the centre if you want her to use it!
