Wet sand play with kitchen utensils
Kids love playing around in sand. Try this activity for a new twist on imaginative play at the beach or in the backyard sandpit – with kitchen utensils!
What you need:
- Plastic spoon
- Plastic bowl
- Plastic cup
- Sand
- Water

Next time you go to the beach, grab a few utensils from your kitchen and use these to build a sandcastle.
Use plastic spoons to scoop sand into a plastic bowl. Fill the bowl with some water, then turn it upside down to create a castle.
Fill plastic cups with sand and turn these upside down on top of the bowl mould to create the points of the castle.
