Popped a couple in the freezer and they loved taking them to school in their lunchboxes and were the envy of their friends who were intrigued by what they were. The portion sizes are so generous and not having a plastic lid is a game changer and makes opening them a breeze and having less rubbish is a win!

It was easy for him to open and he could squeeze every last little bit out of the pouch. I sent one in his lunch the next day in addition to his usual fruit, and everything was eaten, so it’s great that the pouches can add that extra bit of vitamins and goodness without cutting back on any of his other fruit in his lunch.

We were one of the fortunate whānau that got to trial these and we are hooked! Our favourite was the Mango, the flavours are so intense and are even better frozen. We also tried the Berry and chia flavour with Greek yoghurt and it was delicious.

I’ll let my daughter do the review “It is soooo good. Sweet and fruity. I liked it in my school lunchbox. I didn’t have to ask the teacher to open it. I was scared it would have lumpy bits but it didn’t”

callum.irvine

Yum!! The kids loved these. Miss 7 said “these are delicious, they’re like yoghurt but better”. Master 11 & 13 couldn’t decide which flavour they liked more and thought they tasted like fruit smoothies.

Thanks for letting us trial these my son thought they were a great treat in his lunchbox, it did take him a while to figure out how to open tho. But sorted after the 1st 2. He liked both flavours and didn’t seem to have a preference. I’ve taken pics but not sure where to post them

    These are delicious!
My teenagers were bigger fans than Mr 9 (he is notoriously fussy, so don’t hold that against the product) so this review is based on their opinions…
They tried them on day one, and went straight to the fridge for them after biking home from college the next day – queue much squabbling how who’d had how many, and of what flavour vs what was left in the boxes *sigh*
We talked about how they’d be great half time snacks for rugby and football – easy to grab and chuck in their training bags, a good energy boost and much less sticky and messy than oranges – but they haven’t lasted to the weekend to test that theory!
One pouch went on a lunch box outing. The comment was that they are nicer straight out of the fridge, rather than at room temp, but they could be frozen. This would also double as a cooling pack for lunches in the summer.
The pouches were easy to rip into, and i guess could go into soft plastics recycling? I didn’t investigate, and think the teenagers may have placed them straight in the bin on this occasion.
Love the fact its all fruit, no added sugars etc. Super sweet and tasty.
The only barrier to us buying these is the price. Best deal we could find was $7 for a pack of 4 – quite expensive when you compare to some yoghurt and baby food pouches (which is what one of the kids compared it to – Watties apple puree for babies). 4 is such an odd number for a snack aimed at lunch boxes too I felt, make it 5 – one for each school day.

My son tried one straightaway when it arrived, before I even remembered it was for a trial! He loved it. Time is always a factor for him because he’d rather be playing at lunchtime, so the more he can eat fairly quickly the better! He ate another when he got home from school, so these are definitely a hit in our house. I tried the Mixed Berry & Chia and it was delicious. It made me think how good it would be on ice cream but I won’t tell my son that hahaha He’s had 3 of the Mango Kiwifruit & Passion fruit but has said he’ll try to berry pouch next. I’ll definitely look for these at the supermarket. Thank you for the opportunity to try them.

Thanks for choosing us to try the barkers super fruit crush. We loved the packaging especially the pouches as I feel like there is less waste without the lids like other pouches have. Now my 9 year old did not enjoy the mixed berry and chia as he doesn’t like seeds/bits in things but he loved the Mango, kiwi fruit and passion fruit whilst my 9 year old loved both flavours, though she preferred the mixed berry. I actually tried them as well and quite liked them. We used them as an after school snack to try but will be using in their lunchboxes as well. We are also off on a long flight next month so will be grabbing some of these for the flights so will definitely purchase these again 🙂

We were one of the fortunate whānau that got to trial these and we are hooked! Our favourite was the Mango, the flavours are so intense and are even better frozen. We also tried the Berry and chia flavour with Greek yoghurt and it was delicious. We will be buying more of these for frozen lunch box treats and stocking up for summer. My daughter can be fussy sometimes and eats alot of fruit so this a great alternative/option. Thanks Kidspot and Barker’s, we all enjoyed these.
I have tried to upload a photo but unfortunately I can’t get it to work.

Thanks for giving us the chance to try these the mango kiwifruit and passionfruit was definitely a favourite the kids tried them straight from the pouch and also tried them Frozen. They would definitely be great for a snack on hot days when they’re frozen I liked how the ingredients is easy to read and understand and having 95% fruit in them and being made with natural sugar from fruit is good I all so like that there is no artificial colours and flavours and preservatives in them so you know that you are having a healthy snack . They are easy to open and easy to eat from the pouch . I will definitely be buying them again and the kids look forward to having them as a snack frozen again on a hot day

My kids are almost 11 , 9 and 6 they’re very picky when it comes to fruit and anything healthy really so would love to give this a try!

  9. Inge Waghorne 09/08/2023 at 4:30 pm

Yes please we would love to trial this, lunchbox options are always a challenge in our house so I’m open to any alternatives.

My daughter is ten and I would like to try this product with her as she is a huge fan of fruit and we prefer refined sugar free snacks and drinks.

  11. Gemma Bergin 08/08/2023 at 9:44 am

We’d love to try this product because my 5 sons love eating fruit, but it can be difficult to always have fresh fruit available at home. These fruit pouches seem like a great way to ensure they continue to get the nutrients they need, especially since some of my children are Neuro Diverse so are somewhat selective and picky about what they eat.

  12. Rozvergara 07/08/2023 at 10:06 pm

I would love to have my daughter try this. She’s a fussy eater and I am constantly worried she’s not having the right amount of nutrients. She does loves fruits but some of these fruits aren’t readily available though out the year. These would be great lunch box additions.

  13. Budnipz 07/08/2023 at 8:09 pm

I have two girls aged 4 and 6 which go to kindy/school, my 6yo was diagnosed with Coeliac Disease almost 2 years a go and i am forever trying to find new lunchbox fillers as gluten is in sooooooooo many things.

So would love to review this 🙂

  14. EmmaH 07/08/2023 at 7:34 pm

Would love to trial! My 4 year old has just gone dairy-free so we’re looking for different snack options for her. This would be a great way to get more fruit into her too!

  15. boysmumma 05/08/2023 at 2:12 pm

We would really love to try this product as my 2 boys just love their fruit but can be hard to always have fresh fruit in the house which makes these the perfect way to keep getting fruit into your child especially when you have a fussy 2yr old & a semi fussy 7yr old & they love eating things from pouches so would be a great product for my 2 boys

  16. Amz93 04/08/2023 at 11:06 am

My daughter is starting kindy soon so I would to review this product and put in her lunchbox. Always keen to try new products for her. She is almost 2

  17. juliagervasio 03/08/2023 at 11:19 am

My baby boy is 15 months old and LOVES to eat. It would be great to be able to offer him something different to take to daycare and also as an easy quick snack when we are on the go.

  18. Mallie 02/08/2023 at 1:36 pm

My 2 year old would love to try this as he loves his fruit flavours, and we as a family love Barkers.

My kids are 6 and 2 years old. I love trying new things for their lunch boxes, and they love all the fruity things, so these pouches may be perfect – especially for my 6 y.o. to take to school.

  22. Peneh 30/07/2023 at 7:26 pm

These would be perfect for both my daughter myself as a perfect addition to our lunchboxes. Love the fibre, plus 90% fruit. Daughter is 7 years old.

  23. palindrome 30/07/2023 at 2:31 pm

Would love to try these! Always looking for convenient and healthy snacks for the kiddos (and the kiddos at heart) at out place! 🙂

  24. Shris 29/07/2023 at 9:16 pm

This is going to be the best option for my 6yo school snack. I’m always on the lookout for easy lunch options that are also healthier option. Easy and healthy option are very hard to find. Like to trail this.
    Thanks.

This would be an awesome opportunity for my fussy 2yr old. We are currently going through a trial an error system of different flavors, textures etc as she is super fussy. Something like this would absolutely help

  26. Cazper 29/07/2023 at 2:54 pm

    13 and 7 years old.
A great way to get fruit into fussy mouths during school time.

  27. Jordz21 29/07/2023 at 7:12 am

Would love to try these with my 4 and 7yr olds as both are extremely picky , so we are always keen to try new things to find a range of healthy foods they will eat.

  28. Angelgirl081 28/07/2023 at 5:14 pm

We would love to review the Barker’s Super Fruit Crush Multipack pouches. My 6 year old is obsessed with fruit pouches and has at least 1 per day in her lunch and then often more after school. We currently buy the storebrand at our local supermarket as there doesn’t seem to be many other options available for fruit pouches. I would also love to get my 10 year old to try these, as she is super fussy and it is hard to get fruit into her lunch that she will eat, so, we would love to give these ones a go, to see how they compare, the flavours sound delicious.

  29. zebh 28/07/2023 at 5:08 pm

3 and 5, id like to see if the kids like them or not, can be quite picky

  30. Leighmorrissey 28/07/2023 at 2:42 pm

My kids love juice and so a healthier version would be awesome. They are 5, 3 and 1.
