We were thrilled to take part in this review and loved trying all four flavours of Kefir Probots pouches!

Our top 5 favourite things about Kefir Probots pouches:

      1. Packaging is a HUGE hit! Love the robots theme and my preschooler and schooler bother thought they were cool!
      2. Having a single serve pouch is perfect for little ones! No spillage and just the right amount for little tums. They are also so easy for little ones to squeeze all the last bits out and great size to pop into lunch boxes.
      3. The taste – all four flavours, blueberry, strawberry, mango and banana were a hit, top one being mango.
      4. They freeze perfectly so you can pop them in school aged kids lunchboxes without worry that they’ll go bad by lunchtime.
      5. I love that they contain probiotics to give good gut health to our littlies.

These are now a regular on our shopping list, we LOVE them!

As we live rural it was a bit of a mission finding the product, but then when looking in our local Countdown yesterday they had finally arrived. Both my kids Miss3 and Master5 love suckies, but I fear the mango flavour wasn’t really to their liking. Miss3 being the more adventurous of the two finally agreed to give it a second try and seemed to like it, it also didn’t upset her tummy at all and we have only just starting trying to reintroduce dairy into her diet, so that was a bonus. Love the fact that you can recycle them too.

    3. Shris 23/02/2020 at 7:42 pm

So much goodness in one pack. My son loved the blueberry and strawberry flavors and even packed one all by himself in his lunch box for preschool. Easy to use for him on his own and not messy at all. A big thumbs up from him.
Would definitely be recommending this to all I know.
No added sugar was a big plus as we try to be as sugar free as possible in our home as lil ones suffer from eczema.
Like that it also has sustainable packaging and recycling programme by the collective.
      Definitely going to repurchase.
Thank you for introducing this product to us kidspot.

unfortunately, the Mango which I chosen was out of stock in the nearest supermarket. so, my five year old daughter tried strawberry. she finished within a minutes. she said the tastes was like a strawberry cream. yummy yummy. the package is outstanding compare to other similar products. I’m sure kids love the design, same as my daughter. the price is also reasonable for daily budgets as the paknsave offered $1.69. It’s will be easy breakfast for busy morning. Also, it will be my daughter’s favourite food for her lunch box. I tasted it myself as well. It was really creamy yoghurt. I love it. I’m sure I definitely repeat it.

My 3 and 6 year olds loved them and I really like how there’s no added sugar along with all the kefir goodness in each pack! Definitely would buy again!

We tried the blueberry and the banana and when I asked my son he loved them both the same. My son is 2.5 years old. We don’t usually buy yogurt pouches but they are so convenient for when we are traveling this was a trial I was interested in. As a parent I really love there was no added sugar other than from fruit which takes away the guilt factor and that the pouch was a great size to fit in my sons lunchbox ( Planet Box Rover). The convenience was great, we first tried them when my son was onto his 4th breakfast and I had work was so easy to pull one out of the fridge and give one to him. He then had one in his playcentre lunchbox which he loved and we took one for his after swimming snack. Was great to be able to just throw in a healthy high protein snack for after his lesson. One negative thing I found was that my son who doesn’t usually have pouches did struggle with getting the yogurt out on his own, but that is probably just because he doesn’t usually have them. We are heading away next weekend and I will be popping in to grab these while we are away as we were really impressed with them. Needless to say we would definitely recommend them. Thank you for the opportunity to try them.

Our daughters eat yoghurt daily. It is their go-to treat at the supermarket also, especially after school. We loved being able to try these Kefir Probots as we have seen them in the supermarket.
I love the size of the pouch, not too big that it won’t be finished, but not tiny that they’d want another straight away.
We managed to get 3 flavours to try: blueberry, strawberry and banana. Our normal go-to flavours are mixed berry, vegetable and fruit yoghurts or plain strawberry, so these sounded great to try.
Miss 4 and Miss 8 both tried a blueberry flavoured one. Miss 4 loved it, she left none! Loved the flavour of it and has asked to get it again. Miss 8 enjoyed it, but less so the flavour and didn’t finish hers. She’s normally a mixed berry yoghurt girl, instead of a single flavour yoghurt. Also didn’t like the texture quite so much.
Miss 4 also had the strawberry (delicious she said) and banana which is a new-found flavour, and these was nothing left of them!! She’s since chosen to pick these at the supermarket which I happily obliged.
At under $2 a pouch, it’s in line with all the other brands on the market, but even better when on special. I’ve only seen them on multi-but special so far.
The smooth matte finish on the pouch makes it easy for little hands to hold, and not be slippery when covered in condensation from being in the fridge.
I love that the pouches and caps can be recycled, although the closest one to me is over 20kms away in a different city but could save them up for next time I go over there.
They are definitely ones I would recommend to others, especially with kids my daughters ages. A healthy snack but with added probiotics which my girls currently don’t take as tablets.

    8. zackandemiliasmummy 21/02/2020 at 9:48 pm

Thank you for the chance to trial these. We chose Strawberry, Banana and Blueberry as my 2 are not fans of mango flavors.

The product itself was well received and both my 2.5yr old and 5.5yr old thoroughly enjoyed them, they had a nice consistency and flavor was not too sweet
There were hard for both to unlock and open so would prefer to have them available in larger serves in a tub to transfer to little pots with screw lids so they can be used in kindy and school lunch boxes which are also wrap free so won’t work for lunches.

As a mum I love that they are low sugar which is not easy to find in flavored yogurts but they are also a pro-biotic with kefir added as an extra bonus.

I can definitely see both children asking for them in the weekly shops in future!

Mr 5 was SO excited to try these new ‘squeezy’ yoghurts! He absolutely thrilled when the vouchers arrived, and couldn’t wait to give them a try.
He tried the Banana flavour, and while he said it was a little “vanillary”, he said it was delicious and tasted a bit like custard (this is a good thing!).
He ate it very quickly, which is a good sign, and I’m stoked that he loves something that is so good for him.
At a little over $1 each, I wouldn’t hesitate to buy these regularly, and the eco friendly packaging makes it even more appealing.
Thanks Kidspot, for the opportunity to try this new product!

    10. tassynicole 21/02/2020 at 11:32 am

My boys are yoghury fiends and thoroughly enjoyed these. Blueberry and starwberry were by far the favourites followed by banana.

The bright kid friendly packaging is very inviting to kids and also makes then stand out.

As a mum I love that these are not only low sugar buy also probiotic with kefir added. As we are coming to learn gut health is incredibly important, especially for my boys with ezcema so im all for anything that helps in that department.

I dont have an issue with my boys having suckies. They are great for on the go. My boys find them hard yo open so i dont put them in school lunches but great when we need to get out the door fast in the morning. Id love though if they made these in tubs. That would be amazing amd much more affordable and more enviro friendly. We do however recycle the pouches through the soft plastic collection. But yeah big tubs would be amazing.

      Thanks for the opportunity Kidspot

We got to trial the Kefir Mango Pouches. I would have tried more flavours however when I went to New World they didn’t have any of the Kefir range (they did have other Collective products)!
I managed to find them at Countdown.

My 2 yr old loved them. He scoffed them down so quickly. I love the packaging, I love that thy don’t have any added sugar. And actually I tried one myself. It’s a lovely consistency and flavour. So great to be getting some probiotics into him as well.
I have tried other yoghurt pouches before which my son really enjoys but I don’t like how sweet or artificial some of them are.. I am thrilled with the Kefir Probots range and it’s nice to have a healthy lunchbox option. I will be recommending them to the other mums. It’s a winner!!

    12. kim007 20/02/2020 at 9:40 pm

Thank you very much for the opportunity to try the new Kefir suckies. I am quite a fan of the Collective Kefir so it was great to be able to try the range in a kid-friendly format. My little guy was lucky enough to try Blueberry, Banana, Strawberry and Mango. He was a fan of all four (he is a little yoghurt-monster!) and loved being able to have a pouch. I really like the fact that these are low in sugar and good for your gut health – especially good for children at daycare to help keep the germs at bay. We will definitely buy these from time to time int he future as a special treat.

    13. Ameliaa 20/02/2020 at 7:16 pm

Thanks for letting us try these my near 2 year old loved the blueberry one, she wanted it as soon as I put it in the trolley and had to give it to her in the car and she ate the whole pouch before I got in the groceries and myself in the car and asked for more! I did have to go look in countdown as I could not find it in my local supermarket.
My 9 year old on the other hand tried the blueberry and the strawberry one I got and was not a fan of either, lucky my near 2 year old liked them so didn’t go to waste

    14. helibabi 20/02/2020 at 1:04 pm

Thanks so much for the chance to try all 4 flavours.
We usually just get one flavour as my son loves the colour orange so picks the mango one but this was a great chance to get one in every flavour and give them all a go.
We were already a fan and had 4 mango in the fridge but that was the only flavour we had tried. Now we can say we are fans of the rest.
These are the perfect snack to add to my nappy bag when we’re are running our errands in the mornings I know I can throw a snack his way that’s good for him and not sugar loaded, it fills him up and keeps him quiet and doesn’t make a mess.
It fills him up and keeps him going until lunch time so I’m not wrapping and packing.. plus if I’m near a supermarket on our errands and I haven’t packed one I can just grab one and it’s something he looks forward too.
My 5yo daughter on the other hand gets one in her lunch so I don’t know how it goes down but it always is the one thing I know I can send and will always come home empty so know she’s getting something filling in her tummy.
For us no added sugar is a huge part of our diets. Especially for my kids. After having gestational diabetes I am so much more aware of sugar in foods and try and avoid added sugars.
I like these yogurts as they aren’t overly sweet or taste like that fake strawberry fruit flavour a lot of yogurts tend to be.
I will say they are a runnier consistency than their normal yoghurts but I’m lucky my kids are both at the age they can control it well.. time will tell with my infant.
We are sick at the moment and I’ve given my son one this morning as it’s easy on his throat and good for his tummy especially after antibiotics. Probiotics put some good bacteria back in where an antibiotic has stripped them all so that’s a huge bonus also.
I find they keep their cool for a while being packaged the way they are which is handy. And there is a great recycling method in place for the packaging which is nice to see.
It’s well packaged, never leaks, is resealable, son loves the robot and colours and is a pretty affordable snack.
Can’t wait to try the new flavour soon.
Thank you so much for the chance we are definitely fans.

    15. shellv 20/02/2020 at 9:58 am

We were able to purchase one of each flavour Keffir Probots from our local Countdown.  My Miss 4 couldn’t wait to try them, and there was no way my Miss 8 was going to miss out on a taste test too!  They both enjoyed all the flavours, but mango was the favourite of both.  I also had a taste of each flavour, I really loved the slightly tangy, not-too-sweet taste. This is actually how I remember flavoured yoghurt tasting when I was a child (long, long ago!), before it all became so overloaded with sugar!  This a a great way to introduce probiotics and fermented foods into kids diets, as both are so so beneficial.

Love the cute robot graphics on the packaging, and the clever word play too!  Lots of great information provided on the packs.  I see these as a convenient snack for on-the-go, probably something I would buy occasionally for my 4 year old – would be a perfect treat option after supermarket shopping, good to be able to eat in the car.
Unfortunately we do not currently have soft-plastic recycling in the Taranaki region, sadly nor are their any Terracycle collection points here either.  I do appreciate the steps taken to make these more recyclable, but would probably prefer the option to also buy the product in larger sizes, reducing packaging waste.  I’ll definitely look out for more keffir options in The Collective range, and try some of their other yoghurt flavours as well.
Thanks Kidspot and The Collective for the opportunity to trial these Keffir Probots.

    17. vee_nicole 19/02/2020 at 9:01 pm

Thank you so much for the opportunity to try these. We managed to get all 4 flavours which my children aged 3 and 16 months wolfed down! Awesome packaging. Love the low sugar content and the fact that they are probiotic – anyone with kids in daycare knows that every bit helps! Wish I had of got a chance to try them myself but yoghurts in a pouch are considered a treat in our house so and as soon as Mr 3 got his, there was no chance. Would definitely recommend them and will be looking out for them next time I get my boys a “treat” 🙂

        Very yummy yogurt in smoothie
We like yoghurt that is not sweet but our 2 year old daughter only likes it in a smoothie but we like it in a smoothie and on our breakfast very yummy but we are going to try Erica on the banana or strawberry with warm porridge next week and see if that is acccess but she loves her smoothies
Thank you so much for choosing us but to try your yogurts can’t wait to see some new foods again
        Thank you

Thank you for sending us the vouchers.. My kids really loved all the flavours… Mr 6 chose the strawberry and blueberry and he said he liked the blueberry more… My 13 mnths was delighted after every spoon hahaha… Cold healthy treat disappear really quickly… Perfect for lunchbox and afternoon tea… I noticed their bowl movements was better… Thank you again.. I would definitely recommend these pouches… One wee thing, it is a bit hard for my 6y to open it by himself.

    19. Riverwood 19/02/2020 at 3:25 pm

We will be reviewing the Kefir Probots which was trialled and tested by my 2 year old daughter.

Let’s start with packaging and design – at first glance the packaging design appears to be aimed at boys more so than being gender neutral which does not appeal to me as much as similar products with gender neutral colours. However, in saying that, children don’t mind and don’t understand the gender stereotypes. I would have personally liked to see pouches that were a bit less cluttered as I have walked past these in the shop so many times but have failed to notice that these are actually probiotic yoghurts and not just the same as any other. The pouches however are a great idea as they are perfect for little hands and ideal to pack into lunch boxes and take on car trips.

The retail price at current in Christchurch is $1.89 which is quite on par with the closest competitors. The price is affordable in comparison to other probiotic products in the dairy section.

I decided to sample the product prior to passing it to my daughter. Upon opening the yoghurt I was very pleased to see that there was no watery substance at the top when you first open it which is something I encounter quite a bit with pouched food/yoghurt. For the sake of the trial we tested the blueberry flavour. The flavour is quite subtle, not overly sweet and perfect. I think the taste is perfect for small children who are known to be picky! I also commend the vendor for selling a product that contains billions of live probiotics but yet it tastes just like any other yoghurt.

My daughter could not wait to try it and gulped down the yoghurt like it was the first food she’d had in weeks! She seemingly enjoyed the yoghurt and gave her approval when asked whether she liked it.

All in all it is a product of quality, tastes great and has no added sugars. Coincidentally, I was after a probiotic for my toddler and soon to be toddler and am pleased to say that I will be continuing to buy the Kefir Probots to ensure gut health in both my daughters.

I would highly recommend this to any mom of young children.

    20. Emma Crump 19/02/2020 at 1:05 pm

YUM! These just went down a treat! Unfortunately when we went to get them there was only blueberry and strawberry but we will be back to try the others. My 2 year old gobbles them down and isn’t fazed by the kefir tingle, infact i gave him the choice between a non kefir yoghurt and a Kefir Probots this morning and there was no hesitation in grabbing the Kefir one. The pouches are definitely convenient but I would love the option to be able to buy this in a bigger tub to portion out into a bowl or a reusable pouch. I find the recycling not that easy as its requires going to a preschool to drop off which feels a little weird, its a shame to supermarkets cant have a drop off. BUT all in all, we have a small 2 year old fan who is now asking for the blue yoghurt everytime we go down the dairy aisle in the supermarket!!

    21. halyahs 19/02/2020 at 9:24 am

We tried all four flavours, Miss 2 loved them all and they disappeared pretty quickly.
I tried all them myself as well, they were pretty good they did have a slight ferment taste to them which took a little getting used to (but that’s the taste of health! lol) I adored the mango flavour and would eat tubs of of given the chance.
I loved that these had the added benefit of probiotics which many other yogurts don’t offer.
I found the packaging lovely and my daughter liked the rocket ships.
I understand how mess free on the go these squeezy tube packets are, but honestly I dislike not being able to recycle them. We do not have soft plastic recycling in our town, nor a Terracycle collection point. If these were available in a recyclable tub (1 or 2 plastic) I would 100% buy these in the future but as it stands these will be for special treats only for us.

We loved these yogurts. I do appreciate that these packs give us some recycling options which others do not but a more universal recyclable pack would be even better (for everyone 🙂 )

Thank you for this lovely opportunity to trial this product.

    22. Tracey85 18/02/2020 at 8:30 pm

My daughter LOVED this yoghurt, especially the blueberry flavour. It has a great texture, smooth without bits, just how my daughter likes her yoghurt. It is in a convenient sized package, great for an on-the-go snack, in lunchboxes, for breakfast or for an after dinner treat. I loved how there was no mess, my daughter could grab one from the fridge herself, and most of all, she enjoyed it! She even asked me to buy more when they were all gone. I would highly recommend this product to families with children for it’s taste, convenience and health benefits.

    23. Kiwiemz79 18/02/2020 at 3:47 pm

No complaints from Mr 5 or Mr 1 for the yoghurts, all 4 flavours were tried and they disappeared very quickly! Mr 6 was not impressed with the “pink” one, but loved the rocket ships on the packs, and has has for the rocket suckies to be brought again. If he had to pick only one the banana would have been the best! Love the size perfect for a snack in the car on the way home from school. They are a little more than I would pay for a snack food, but would def consider when on special for the convenience value.

    24. Timmi6981 17/02/2020 at 6:46 pm

Thankyou for giving our family a chance to try these. My daughter had the banana one to try and man did she love it! It’s so handy in a travel convenient pouch. My daughter finished hers in 30seconds and wanted another! My son had mango and that’s definitely a hit with him! I even had a wee taste and they taste really good!! Highly recommended we will be getting these again

    25. TBartlett 17/02/2020 at 4:13 pm

My 6yo tried the blueberry and mango while my 2.5yo had the other two (banana and strawberry). My 6yo loved the blueberry and my 2.5yo preferred the banana but they both enjoyed the two flavours they tried each. Definitely a guilt-free treat that made us all happy. Thank you!

      • Angelgirl081 23/02/2020 at 7:49 pm

Both my girls (3 and 6) absolutely love Yoghurt, however last year we discovered miss 2 was lactose intolerant. This has been really hard for her and she didn’t like alot of the coconut or soy Yoghurts available. We actually reverted back to baby food fruit pouches so that she could have Squeezy pouches like big sister.
When the opportunity came up to trial these Kefir Probots by the Dairy Collective, I was thrilled. I had actually seen them in the super Market but at a quick glance, just assumed they were not suitable for miss 3. She was so excited when I told her she could have them as they were lactose free. We got one of each flavour, and she had the strawberry one straight away. She loved it and said it tasted just like Yoghurt. She also ate the mango one straight after and enjoyed this too. She tried the Blueberry one but found it a bit sour. Miss 6 was happy to have it instead and she said it was really nice. The both ate the banana one but weren’t huge fans of this flavour but that’s okay.
They were $1.70 each at our local Pak ‘n save so about on par with other same sized Squeezy pouch Yoghurts.
I was also quite happy to see that they are able to be recycled at drop off points too.
I will definitely continue to buy these for miss 3 as it is hard to find products her tummy can tolerate, so these were great. Hopefully they have some good discounts coming up though because this child could honestly live on Squeezy pouches hahah.

    26. GONZZE 17/02/2020 at 3:29 pm

Thanks for giving us a chance to try these my 6 year old like his one Frozen the others were not that keen on the flavours my 6 year old said banana was definitely the best I liked how they have no sugar added to them they’re great for small hands and easy to open I’ts great how they have a screw lid on the top so if you don’t eat it all you can have some later the packaging is bright and colourful so is attractive it would be good if they were made a bit bigger than 100g maybe 200g thanks again for giving us the chance to try these

    27. DJ_PJ 17/02/2020 at 8:41 am

We tried the mango flavour. Both my boys guzzled them down, and even my husband knicked off with one. I love that they are healthier than the normal yogurt that I give them and the squeezey pouch meant that Mr independent 11months old could do it himself.

    28. Alison Spencer 17/02/2020 at 5:10 am

Blueberry flavour delicious and was favourite. Strawberry was good but not sweet enough. Great packaging and size just right. .

    29. Purpleducks1 16/02/2020 at 5:32 pm

These are a complete hit with miss 6! Easy to store in lunch box and taste amazing! Best of all no more missing spoons… will definitely be purchasing again. 🙌

    30. Robmel 16/02/2020 at 3:40 pm

We grabbed BLUEBERRY & MANGO today. Both boys loved it and squished every drop out! Their first comment was “it’s a little sour” but that didn’t stop them. I’m guessing it’s because of the ‘no added sugar’ and the kefir. The 13 active culture strains are a little Mind blowing to read but I would happily purchase these again. They would be great frozen for the lunch boxes and Mr lactose free approves!
