New Zealand Apple Products
The New Zealand Apple Products range includes Freeze-Dried, Air Dried, and Pouch options.
Air-Dried products include Apple Chips and Apple Rings, made with 100% baked apples. These have an incomparable and exquisite texture, combined with the taste of beautiful hand-picked sweet apples. There are also Fruit Noodles – fruit leathers made with 100% fruit, shaped into small noodles for an easy way to eat on the go or add to lunchboxes. They’re available in three flavours: Apple, Boysenberry & Apple, or Blackcurrant & Apple.
Pouches are a new addition to the range and are available as Apple Sauce, Baby Fruit Purées or Fruit Flavoured Purées. Fruit Flavoured Purées (Fruit Hitz) are a healthy snack for those who prefer a nutritious alternative to satisfy their sweet cravings. Fruit Hitz are convenient for parents to include in children’s lunches or as natural snacks. Fruit Hitz pouches can also be used as a baking ingredient for many sweet or savoury recipes.
The Fruit Hitz range has four different yummy flavours; Mango, Strawberry, Tropical, or Summer Berry – they are super smooth and delicious. Fruit Hitz are made from high quality apple puree from seasonal apples grown in the sunny picturesque Tasman region.

Firstly thank you so much for letting us take part in this trial if the NZ Apple products.
I had heard of this product but wasn’t really sure if my children would enjoy it but boy was i wrong 😊 my kids absolutely loved them.
My boys and myself loved the fruit melody especially the strawberry pieces (would be lovely if the company could bring out a freeze dried strawberry product) very closely followed by the apple sticks what a great treat..
I would love to be able to purchase these from my local Pak n Sav.
I would definitely purchase the apple rings, fruit hitz and the fruit noodles which we have previously purchased and loved.
I would 100% and already have recommended these products to family and friends.

We received the Freeze Dried Apple Sticks & Fruit Medley. I was a bit skeptical at first as I had not heard about NZ Apple Products before and usually products like this are full of sugar but upon looking further into the products I found that they only contain 100% fruit with no added extras. My 5yr old loved the apple sticks but found the medley mostly sour and did not like the bigger pieces of fruit, preferring the smaller sized fruits. I have since noticed products at the supermarket where I would buy from but have chosen to purchase the apple sticks and others online due to the supermarket not stocking all the products that we would prefer to try and buy. I would definitely recommend due to being free from additives and extras and still being able to keep a great taste.

We had the fruit medley and apple sticks, my daughter wasn’t a fan of the fruit medley as she found some of the fruit too tart but she loved the apple sticks!

We have bought NZ Apple products before but the fruit medley pack was a new treat. It was a total hit with Miss 2 and is now her go to snack and the apple sticks have become the toilet training incentive of choice they are that yummy!
It easiest to buy from the supermarket but would definitely consider an online shop to get all the options in 1 go. We are definitely keen to try the whole range including the baby food as a pouch is always a hit. The packaging means it’s super easy to keep on hand or pop in a handbag for a treat on the go. The zip lock bag stops the pieces going soggy, not that they last long enough unless I hide them. A recommendation to everyone is definitely on the cards.
We were lucky enough to receive the new Fruit Hitz baby fruit purée and they were definitely a hit with my little guy. They have been perfect for the hot weather have been leaving them in the fridge as something cool to have while his big sisters have a ice block. I would definitely purchase these again there hasn’t been a flavour that he hasn’t liked, I would prefer to buy with the regular grocery shopping but would purchase online in bulk if needed. We have purchased the apple chips from the supermarket recently for our older girls and they have loved them so will continue to look for these fab products in stores.

Mr 6 love the fruit noodles, also the fruit pouch as he loved the flavour and texture of the product, however he didnt like the Apple crisp chip he said it tasted like chalk.
Mum loved the Apple crisps however and thought they tasted lovely and loved how crispy they are, i didnt get a change to try the other 2 products as Mr 6 ate them in a flash.

My 2 year old and 4 year old boys love all of the products we received. We had not heard of them before, and both of my boys loved the fruit noodles and my 2 year old really enjoyed the apple chips so we would definitely order both of these again. The kids did like the fruit hits pouch but we don’t tend to encourage the kids to have pouches of fruit so I would not likely buy this again.
We would buy these at our local supermarket, and would not buy online unless thete was a deal for buying in bulk.
We will certainly be looking out for these products in future, as the fruit noodles and apple chips are easy to pop into a lunch box as a healthier snack. They didn’t last long in our house, which is great for 2 boys who are very picky with the fruits and vegetables they choose to eat.
