We’ve been lucky enough to receive 30 kits of the soon to be released Nurofen for Children FeverSmart Temperature Monitor and we want to know your thoughts!

With added benefits for your little one, this innovative new wearable baby monitor is designed to allow parents to continuously and accurately monitor their child’s fever without disturbing their sleep.

This discreet, non-invasive device gently attaches to your baby’s underarm using an adhesive strip made from medical grade silicone that provides pain-free removal. It then transmits your baby’s temperature continuously to a free app on your smartphone or other device that will notify you if your baby’s temperature is in the high range (if push notifications are enabled).

The highlights:

  • Suitable for children aged 0 – 3 years
  • Automatic push notifications to a free app when temperature is outside of normal range
  • Tracks symptoms and medication
  • App allows you to create individual profiles so you can monitor your children individually
  • FeverSmart uses low energy Bluetooth, with emissions considerably lower than phones and other household items
  • The Bluetooth range is up to 40m in open sight. The base station should be within 1.5m of the monitor

Hitting the shelves mid-Feb 2018 (so consider this your VIP insight), the FeverSmart Monitor retails at $149.99 and will be available at local pharmacies and baby outlets.

I would love to try this product with my 18 month old. Currently I wake her up during the night to take readings of her temperature (through the ear) as she finds it uncomfortable.

Yes please this would be amazing and super handy with a 1 year old and a 3 and a half year old. Especially with mr 3 not letting me put a thermometer under his armpit or anything when he’s unwell.

Wow how awesome is this product for all the mums and dads? My 7month old was a winter baby and caught a cold from his sister when he was 3 weeks old. It was really hard to measure his fever with the digital thermometer because it took ages to get a reading. It didn’t help any that baby was squirming around as well.

I had read about stick on fever reader but it was for 24hr period only.

It will be very convenient to have this product as winter will be here in few short months and i would like to be better prepared this time. I would like to be considered for this trial please. Thanks

I have been waiting for something like this since my four year old was born, and this would so great to test with my 13 months old now. It’d give me peace of mind. He wakes up with every move of mine and when he is not well, it is always very important for me to have him rested as much as possible. Very clever product like this one would be a lifesaver. Thank you.

We would love to trial the Nurofen for Children FeverSmart Temperature Monitor on our 10 month old daughter. It is very hard to hold a thermometer in place under her arm so it would be good to see of this product is easier to use.

We would love to trial Nurofens new child temperature smart meter for our 18 month old. Last year she had reoccurring ear infections and is due to have an operation in three weeks time. This would be perfect to be able to check her temperature post op without having to disturb her.

Would love to trial this with my 1 year old. He is an extremely wriggly child at the best of times, but trying to take his temperature with the underarm thermometer is exceptionally difficult. Trying to get him to stay still long enough to get an accurate reading usually involves a lot of screaming which is not at all beneficial for a feverish I’ll child! I have tried the ear thermometers before but have never had success getting accurate readings unfortunately. It sounds like maybe this FeverSmart temperature monitor might be the answer?! With the added bonus of being able to continually monitor his temperature without going through any futher disturbance. Would love to trial to see if it really is as good as it sounds!

This would be awesome to trial – my 14 month old is just getting over a bad ear infection and a really high fever. He absolutely hated having his temperature taken so just got himself worked up and really upset every time I tried – meaning I usually got an inaccurate reading. He also needed to sleep a lot so it was tricky keeping track of his temperature. It was a really hard and scary time for me as well as him, so I would love to try anything that makes it that bit easier if he gets sick again. Thanks for your consideration 🙂

I would love this product for my 18th month old. He still gets sick so often from day care and it’s so tricky to take his temp. This would help my know when he need medicine or a doctor’s visit. When he is ok to go to daycare or not. And give me peice of mind when he is asleep in bed sick that he is still ok

I absolutely love this product, where have you been for the past 6 years. I just absolutely hate having to fight a sick child to take their temperature and with three children two in both school and childcare the poor 1 year old gets coped with all sorts of bugs brought home with the older two. So you then have the problem of trying to probe something that they then want to take out or you have to take all their cloths off when all they want to do is sleep….just to take their temperature which I don’t know about other parents but my not so trusty thermometer gives me all sorts of readings even ones that I questions when my poor baby is clearly burning up and its telling me she is a cool 36.5 WTF ! so then you spend your evening fretting twoing and froeing unchanging and then wrestling when hey presto you could just use this contraption and be at ease, bubs can be still asleep and I can be at ease knowing that my poor sick baby is being monitored without being disturbed…….YES YES YES I would most definitely love to trial this out and see if it really is as easy as it sounds and allows my baby to not fret and fuss at a time where we want to keep them calm and back on the mend quick smart .

This product would help me figure out if she is ill without putting it under her armpit. I could treat her faster and get her happier sooner.

  12. Amfagan 12/02/2018 at 6:14 pm

This would be amazing to trial my oldest has seizures when she gets temps and my younger two are always picking up bugs from preschool and school this way i can keep a good record of their temps and not have to keep rechecking under their arms to make sure im getting the right temp reading

I would love to try this with my one year old. I’ve just gone back to work & he’s started daycare with his big sister. I know he’ll end up catching everything going around as he spends his first winter there (just as his sister did!) So it would be great to have this newly back to work mumma peace of mind when the inevitable first daycare sickness hits us! Especially as the big two give just got over strep throat that give them super high temperatures!

This sounds absolutely amazing to trail, with a one year old and one on the way this will be perfect to keep track when they are sick or feel like they have a temperature! 🙂

  16. Bex 12/02/2018 at 5:46 pm

This would be amazing with 2 children under 6 it would get a lot of use and it would be so nice to avoid the crying that comes along with waiting for an underarm thermometer to beep, not to mention being able to take temps when they are sleeping! So much peace of mind….and peace!

  17. Lizzy24 12/02/2018 at 5:28 pm

Please consider me for this trial. My 2 year old son has just been suffering from gastro and this would be amazing to keep my mind at ease so I know how he is doing. Our ear temperature thing we have doesn’t work properly. I’d be sure greatful to trial this.

  18. Michelle Bold 12/02/2018 at 5:27 pm

This would be amazing to try with two children as we have the under arm thermometer so would love to trial this new product as we all know kids are not patient especially when sick!

  19. Mrsdaun 12/02/2018 at 5:26 pm

My daughter is a very light sleeper so this wluld be perfect to use with her when she is sick!

  20. nholt2552 12/02/2018 at 4:51 pm

With a 9month old prone to sickness this product would be absolutely fantastic! This would stop the struggle of using an under arm thermometer and give us better and easier readings!
Thanks in advance for considering us!

We would love to give this a go! We have a 8 month old and a 2 year old, this would save me a lot of trips in the night and would be great peace of mind

  22. KarliePlusFour 12/02/2018 at 4:21 pm

I would love to try this out with my family! My small one is 11 months old and has allergies which often need medication and come with temps. This looks so so handy to keep track of everything at a stressful time!

  23. Stacey Mansell 12/02/2018 at 4:19 pm

This would be so so so so great & make illness times a tad easier as our darling 20 month old wee man is forever getting fevers from ear infections but anytime we try to take his temperature with a normal underarm thermometer he hates his arm being held down & not being able to move & also we hardly get a reading as he pulls it out from under his arm before it beeps for its reading so we have to just get what we can & just mainly go by the feel of him with a hand on the forehead & on his back between the shoulder blades so this would be fantastic

  24. Kjgee 12/02/2018 at 4:09 pm

This would be perfect for either one of my youngest two. My 2 year old is a terrible sleeper and always has been, so having to take her temp and potentially wake her is not ideal when she is already unwell! She has never enjoyed having her temp taken and usually ends in a battle, which is not great when she is already feeling miserable.
Our youngest who is 10weeks old, has already fought a horrible infection (meningitis) in her short life, making me super vigilant and more alert to high temps, this is the sort of technology that would help ease my mind and anxieties.

  25. rachlouise 12/02/2018 at 4:05 pm

This sounds like an incredible product with major benefits. As a mum, I get incredibly anxious when I give my daughter pain relief and find it difficult to monitor her properly. A product like this would put my mind to ease. I love how it tracks the medication doses and temperature too!. We would love to try this out.

Mr one year old nearly 2 was born with cystic fibrosis. So even the littest cough or fever he gets we are urged to take him straight to the hospital as there is absolutely no chance of us getting the thermometer under his arm. He absolutely hates it! We end up having to hold him down just to get his temperature however it’s never accurate because by the time we do get a reading he’s crying hysterically!!
This would make life a lot easier! I would love to be able to trial this.

  27. kisshart 12/02/2018 at 3:56 pm

Hi i would love to try out this product for my just turned 1 year old.
Recently we had a scare of meningitis and he had to be rushed to hospital, this would be fantastic to have to keep any eye on his temperature, as he is a very light sleeper, and i hate to keep going in to wake him up just to see if hes OK.

  28. Rouge 12/02/2018 at 3:52 pm

Having recently been through a frightening experience where my two year old had a very high fever, (40 plus degrees), and I found it extremely difficult to monitor him, I’d be extremely interested in trying this product.

  29. Budgie27 12/02/2018 at 3:46 pm

This would be sooooo much easier than using the thermometer under the arm which you have to hold for ages while they do not like it and wait for it to beep to see!!!!

  30. nzborn 12/02/2018 at 3:41 pm

This would make life just a little bit easier if I could monitor Stanley’s temperature without disturbing him.I’d love to try it on him
