Prepare these for the kids and they will be thrilled to have such a treat for breakfast – when they find out what it is!

Melt your white chocolate in the microwave. Be sure to stop and stir thoroughly as white chocolate can burn quickly.

Place into a freezer bag or piping bag and pipe onto wax paper in the shape of a fried egg. Place a few spatters about to make it look authentic.

Pop a yellow M&M into the centre as the yolk, letter side down.

Place your Mars Bar on its side on a microwave safe plate. This will ensure it melts with the caramel to one side rather than the top. Don't over cook this one – only melt it slightly so you can shape it without it running.

Shape the caramel as the bacon rind and press it flat, stretching it to look like your bacon.

Add some lines of authenticity to the bacon with your butter knife.

All that is left to do is sit back and enjoy your clever breakfast snack as the kids are fooled!
