Printable letters to Santa

Writing a letter to Santa is a fun tradition that most of us adopted as children ourselves. There is something about sending off a wishlist of goodies to St. Nick during the festive season that gets the little ones even more excited for Christmas.

If your child is having a little trouble getting their letter together, check out some of our free printable letters that Santa and his elves will love to read.

These look great. Does anyone have any examples of what the replies look like? Are they customised at all? i.e. include the childs name etc or just generic?

According to the NZ Post website, replies from letters that Santa receives by mail are not personalised due to how super busy Santa’s Helpers are at this time of year. However, you can use the “Write to Santa” online option – find out more here:

I love the last letter and the fact they get a response. I always want to write to mine from Santa but know they will recognize my writing lol

Cool templates! Such a neat idea. My 3 year old can’t really write yet but we would have fun with these. I can ask him to colour them and I can write down the things he want to say to Santa. He’s been looking forward for Christmas. We had our Christmas Tree up early November. That’s how excited we are. 😛

Ohh what super cute letters. My kids don’t really do letters to Santa. But I think these templates would make it a bit easier. It’s an art constructing a letter! I wonder if my kids have a favourite reindeer? It’s got to be rudolf surely.

I think it’s fantastic that NZ Post does this! Unfortunately Master 8 has this year discovered that Santa is not real so we will have to wait until our daughters are old enough to try this one.

Fantastic! We might try writing to Santa this year. In the past we have done online video messages from Santa – they are pretty cool, through the Portable North Pole website. My youngest son is Santa mad and would be over the moon to receive a letter from him

These are so cool! All 3 of my boys still believe in Santa I dont think itll be too much longer for my older 2 though sadly so deff keen to get them to write a letter before they grow out of it. Love how you get a reply too makes all the more exciting and fun for the kiddos.
