Easy scented heart sachet
Valentine’s Day means love hearts and romance all round. You can teach your child some basic sewing skills by making these simple scented heart sachets together on Valentine’s Day. You could also make these as a special gift for Mother’s Day.
What you need:
- 1 x A4 piece of felt
- 1 x FREE heart template
- cotton wool
- perfume or essential oil
- needle and thread
Number of players:
Use the FREE heart template (it’s the same template that you can use to make Sticky window hearts) to cut two identical heart shapes out of your felt and then lay them on top of each other. Now use a simple running stitch-to-stitch around the edge of the heart.
Stop before you close it up completely, leaving a 2cm gap.
Spray a few drops of your favourite perfume onto some cotton wool. Alternatively you could use a few drops of an essential oil.
Fill the pillow with scented cotton wool before sewing up the gap.
Add embellishments if you wish – bows or another small heart in a contrasting colour.
Now you have a nice scented drawer sachet!
