Handprint spider

Handprint spider

Halloween is all about spooky and scary – right? There’s not a lot more scary than spiders as a gift! Help kids print these spiders on card fronts to hand out to family and friends over the Halloween season.

What you need:

  • coloured construction paper – A4 is fine
  • black paint
  • paint tray
  • paint brush
  • newspaper
  • coloured markers
  • some hands to get messy

Activity:

Step 1. Lay newspaper out to protect your surface.

Step 2. Fold your construciton paper in half to create the card.

Step 3. Pour a small amount of paint into the tray.

Step 4. Dip your child’s hand in to the paint and spread it about with the brush. Make sure it is only a thin layer so it dries quickly.

Step 5. Stamp the hand, fingers pointing to the outside of the card, palms in the centre.

Step 6. Once dry, use the marker to draw on some eyes and other marking you wish to have on your spider.

Step 7. Decorate and write in the card to hand out.
