Learning to tie shoe laces is a rite of passage, but lacing your shoes can also be a fun kids activity. There are so many ways to lace your shoes – start with this standard criss-cross style.

What you need:

• 1 pair of shoes with at least four lace holes each side

Start at the lowest eyelets, lace the shoelace straight across.

Now cross the laces over to the next eyelet up making sure you thread the lace from inside the shoe to outside.

Criss-cross the laces that way all the way to the top of the shoe.
