How to tie shoes practise board

Making this practise board for tying shoelaces is a fun craft activity and will also finish up as a great learning game for kids.

What you need:

  • 1 piece of box cardboard (35cm x 30cm)
  • 1 pair of shoes (to trace around)
  • black marker pen
  • paints
  • 1 pair shoe laces
  • metal skewer or scissors

Number of players:
1

Activity:

Trace around the shape of the shoes with a pencil.

Fill it in with the black marker pen.

Paint your shoes in nice bright colours.

Now use a metal skewer, scissors or a drill to punch 2 x 5 rows of holes in each 'shoe'.

Thread the shoe laces through the holes.

Sit down with your child and use the practise board to teach them how to tie their shoe laces.
