Make a fairy’s mailbox for your fairy garden

Make a fairy’s mailbox for your fairy garden

Little girls love fairies. You can entice some fairies to visit by building your own fairy garden and adding some special fairy furniture like this snail mailbox.  If you're lucky, the fairies might even leave you some messages in your fairy mailbox!

What you need:

  • hot glue gun
  • 2 x Paddlepop sticks (1 x mini, 1 x full-size)
  • stanley knife or garden secateurs (pruning shears)
  • small shell
  • black texta

Number of players:
1

Activity:

Watch the video to find out how to put your snail mailbox together.

Cut a 2cm piece off the larger Paddlepop stick. You can use garden secateurs or a stanley knife.

Then make a pointed end (like an old fashioned road sign.) Write 'Mail' on the sign with your texta.

Now use a hot glue gun to glue the sign part to the post (the smaller Paddlepop stick.)

Glue the post to the shell, with the shell hole facing up (the mail will appear in the shell's hole.)

Put it in a fairy garden with a fairy seat and wait for the fairies to leave you messages.
