Your kids will enjoy collecting leaves for this crafty activity. Easy to do, this fun craft will create beautiful wax paper leaves that look much more complicated than they actually are!

What you need:

• Leaves
• Waxed paper
• Dish towel
• Scissors
• Iron

Activity:

Collect leaves from the garden.

Place the leaf between two layers of wax paper with plenty of room to trim and preserve the wax ‘seal’.

Cover the wax paper with a thin dish towel.

Using an iron on medium heat, evenly iron over the towel which separates the iron from the wax paper. This heat actually seals the leaf between the wax paper sheets.

Trim the wax paper to the desired shape.

Notes:

• Young children should never be left in charge of the iron! They will definitely need you to do this part of the activity.
