What you need:

• Plastic sandwich bags (that can be sealed)
• Variety of smelly items such as coffee beans, cheese,orange peel, pepper etc)
• Blindfold
• Pen
• Paper

3+

Activity:

Away from the players (so they cannot see what is in the bags)fill a few plastic bags with one aroma item each (such as coffee beans, toothpaste, tuna or pepper).

Make sure the smells are familiar to the age group playing.

Bring the first player forward and blindfold them.

Pass the bags one by one under their nose.

Write down their answers and remove the blindfold.

Bring the next player forward and repeat the smell test.

After every player has had a turn, compare the answers on the paper and give a prize to the child who guessed the most correctly!
