Where does this go?

All kids love doing craft. This activity is no exception as they cut pictures out of magazines and place them around the house. It will help kids to understand what goes where in the house and why it goes there.

What you need:

• magazines containing household items
• scissors

Activity:

Cut out pictures of household items such as furniture, chairs, oven, kettle, television, towels and books.

Cut out pictures of the different rooms that a house contains eg. a lounge room, a kitchen, a bedroom, a bathroom, a garden, etc.

Lay the pictures out in front of you and your child and ask your child to help you place the pictures in the appropriate room.

This a great way to build your child’s conversational skills as you discuss with them what goes where.
