Family review from Jessica
The Gavin Bishop Treasury is an instant New Zealand classic! It has been enjoyed by the whole family, from read-aloud sessions greatly enjoyed by my four-year-old and six-year-old (and myself!) to the nine-year-old and 11-year-old picking it up and enjoying a quiet reading moment and taking in all the lovely illustrations.
It’s so easy to read out loud with lots of fun for the reader and the listener – the children all thought it was wonderful. They enjoyed hearing old stories, some with twists and some more traditional. The illustrations are all beautiful and really spark the imagination.
Our family gave it 5 out of 5 stars. We highly recommend this book and suggest you either buy it for someone for Christmas or put it on your wishlist!
It’s the best all-round new children’s book we’ve had in a long time.
Mr 6: “My favourite story is Chicken Licken because it’s funny.”
Mr 9: “I like Mr Fox the best because it has a funny and unexpected ending!”
Miss 11: “I’ve enjoyed the whole book as it’s a fun and easy read enjoying familiar fairy tales and some new ones!”
