Bourbon is back and gaining favour the world over with a brand new premium drop, Legent.

The brainchild of two whiskey legends, Jim Beam’s Master Distiller Fred Noe and Suntory’s Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo, Legent blends the best of both worlds for a unique bourbon steeped in Kentucky tradition and Japanese detail.

A first-of-its-kind, Legentstarts as a Kentucky Straight Bourbon before being aged in hand-selected wine and sherry casks. The liquid is then meticulously blended resulting in a bold spirit that is well-balanced on the palate with a bright, smooth and unexpectedly long finish.

For those looking to impress their guests this summer, Legent can be served neat, on the rocks or, go the extra mile and try one these refreshing cocktail recipes!

Rising Sun – a rounded and smoothed-out play on a whiskey sour. Easy to make and enjoy

  • 1 ½ parts Legent Bourbon
  • ½ part Apricot Liqueur
  • ½ part lemon juice
  • ¼ part simple syrup
  • Shake all ingredients. Strain into rocks glass with fresh ice

Old Pals– in honour of Fred and Shinji’s legendary collaboration, we’ve added a unique twist to the classic Old Pal recipe.

  • 1 ½ parts Legent Boubon
  • ½ part Campari Liqueur
  • ½ part Dry Vermouth
  • ¼ part honey syrup
  • Stir all ingredients with ice and strain over large ice cube. Garnish with grapefruit peel

Legent Manhattan– classic and reserved, the distinct flavour of Legent comes shining through and pairs perfectly with a unique set of ingredients.

  • 1 ½ parts Legent Bourbon
  • ½ part Averna Amaro
  • ½ part Cherry Liqueur (not maraschino liqueur)
  • Stir all ingredients with ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a cherry
