Bargain Box Choice delivers family favourite recipes at bargain prices, with everything you need delivered to your door by New Zealand’s cheapest meal-kit – and now with added choice for those fussier family members.
What type of food can I typically expect in a Bargain Box Choice delivery?
Every week you can choose from eight recipes packed with goodness that will make you go WHOA! The amazing Bargain Box chefs and taste testers create meals the whole fam will love. They’re packed with plenty of veggies (perfect for growing bodies!), have easy-to-follow instructions, and are super tasty, too!
There will be a selection of proteins to choose from each week i.e. some chicken dinners, some beef etc. as well as two vegetarian meals.
Bargain Box chicken and eggs are free-range, they use sustainably caught fish, and source as many veggies and other ingredients as possible from local suppliers.
Bargain Box Choice options
Bargain Box Choice is available for three, four, or five nights per week and comes in three sizes:
Serves 2: Great for a couple, or 2 adults with a young child
Serves 4: Feeds 4 adults/teens, or 2 adults and 3 kids
Serves 6: Feeds 6 adults/teens, or great for big families

I’d love to trial the family of 4. Life is pretty busy as a working single mum, and there is never enough time in the day to cook nutritious meals my boys will eat. These meals look so tasty and easy to prepare.
My family ordered Hello Fresh regularly and would like to see different option that Bargain Box Choice offers for kids.
There are two kids in my family and they love trying new food.
It will be definitely a big release for my hubby (he is in charge of our kitchen at home ; ) ) if we can be in the trial so that he doesn’t need to rack his brains on what for dinner every day and so that we can find out if Bargain Box Choice is a good alternative!
Sorry forgot to mention that we have a big family of 6! So we really want to try the 6 person option! : D
Hi we would love to trial the serve 4 option please, have not tried Bargain box before. I am getting tired of thinking of meals to make each night for my family. This way our daughter can cook one or more of the meals with some help from mum. Thank you in advance
This sounds amazing, we are a family of 2 adults and 3 growing boys, so we would need the 6 person box please. I love the idea of the boys making and trying new recipes. They love helping in the kitchen, and having a bargain box will be so exciting for them. I’m also thinking that the ease of the bargain box for me! Less supermarket trips after work to get something for dinner.

Pur family would love to trial the 4 person option please. This would not only help us with new ideas for dinner and get the kids (and adults) eating a variety of food but a week without having to go to the supermarket will put a smile on my face for a very long time!!!
We have thought about a food delivery but just haven’t been able to justify the cost but would love to try it and if it works and there are happy campers in our house we will look at ways in getting this on a weekly basis.

We would love to review the bargain box the one for 6 people .There is 3 adults a teenager and two children in our family I have thought about getting a bargain box before but thought it would be great to be able to trail the box before you start buying them I like how there is different menus you can choose from and how they make their boxes to feed different size families it’s also great that they come with easy to understand instructions so you know exactly how to cook the meals this would also be a great thing that I could get my teenage daughter to cook for the family so we would definitely love to review the bargain box

My daughter isn’t a fussy eater and loves to help with our meals which is awesome, I know she loves her fresh fruit and veggies! Hi, I’d love to try this out. I have a wee baby who has special needs and a master 10. I’ve gotten stuck with meal ideas. I’ve tried a few meal kits before however my son just didn’t like Alot of them. An he isn’t fussy. One of the best eaters I know. So I’d love to give this new choice a try. Might be onto something. 🙂
I’d love to be chosen and would use a 4 person box. We do Bargain Box but I can’t see anywhere that says we aren’t allowed to register to be reviewers. Anything to help with the household costs is awesome – we are on a low income and spend a lot of time doing useful things in the community / with our children. Hopefully we can have a chance to be a reviewer. The kids always cook 🙂
I have never tried preparing our meals using meal kits before.
We are a family of 6 (2 adults + 4 children). I absolutely enjoy preparing home-cooked meals, but dinners seem to repeat themselves after a while, because unfortunately, I am too busy to even think of what to cook.
I work as a teacher, and also juggle my children’s after-school activities and my husband works long hours, so the prospect of him cooking the weeknight dinner is zero. Teaching is very tiring and by the end of the day, I don’t even have the energy to think of the menu.
Also, my children are all old enough to help to do the cooking, and I would love for them to pitch in and learn to cook a variety of dishes.
Perhaps this would be an interesting option, so I would really love to trial this Bargain Box, please! Thank you.
Love to try this. Trying to eat more as a family. Two adults two kids. Us adults have just joined the gym and with winter coming we dont want to start eating unhealthy plus schedules with work, gym, family time and extracurricular activities is ramping up and the kids need to be well nourished to keep warm. We would live to trial and in the past we havent been fortunate enough to afford but now we are trying to put health and fitness and wellness first which bargain box firs this well

I would love to trial this bargain box as I have tried different brands in the past and the kids wouldn’t eat much as the meals were a bit mature for their palette. It would be amazing to find one with meals they would find choice. Then I could use a handy service like this again.

Yes please Kidspot, we would love to trial the Bargain Box Choice meal kit! I’m always looking for tasty new recipes to feed my partner and two girls, and would really love some new inspiration for winter. I love the idea of meal kits, I think it would definitely take the stress out of dinner planning and prep on our busiest nights of the week. It’s great that you can now choose the meals to build your own menu, and be able to try things you might not ordinarily cook. I would love to trial Bargain Box Choice’s two-person box for five nights. My seven-year-old son and I have seen the latest ads for it on TV and having new, exciting meals would force me out of my cooking rut of variations on pasta – the variations being the shape of the pasta…
It can be hard finding a meal that will appeal to 2 adults and 2 children (aged 7 and 3). I would like to try Bargain Box to see how it goes, and as it sounds like a more affordable option than some food boxes that are available if we decided to purchase it in the future.

I would love the chance to try a 3 person box for a few nights to get some more variety, good healthy meals and take the guess work out for me. Life’s busy as a working mum and so hard to think of and cook the right good food for fussy kids. I like the idea of having the food set and easy recipes to follow that will hopefully keep everyone happy.
We would love to trial a Bargin box for 6. We are a busy household with a shiftworker and winter sports can make days hectic. Let alone trying to put something together for dinner.
We would love to trial a Bargain Box Choice for 4 people. We are a super busy family of 5. Our girls who are 14, 12 and 8 are very active and we are out most nights at sport activities. A few of my girls are a bit fussy so choosing the menu together and then having it all arrive on the doorstep would be amazing. We wont need to.stress about what to have for dinner each night. We would love to try the 4 person one please for 5 nights. I find it hard to come up with new ideas that suit everyone in our family. My oldest moved back home last year. He has just turned 21 and my youngest is 9, she can bit a bit hit and miss with meals. My husband is a builder and needs substantial meals.
I’d LOVE for my lil family of 2 kids 2 adults to trial the 5 meal bargain box as the meals look diverse and yummy and my kids who are usually fussy would most likely enjoy…. I LOVE how the meals look fuss free and easy to create…. very convenient and alot of variety makes it soooo very enticing…. crossing my fingers for this trial

Wither 3 adults and 3 kids, life is busy, full on and a lot of food is consumed. Fuss free, instructed meals would take the hassle of thinking of what to eat whilst also giving the younger members the ability to cook without us telling them everything to do! And they would gain some indepenance! This would also give us great new meal ideas to provide more variety. I have not tried bargain box yet (due to being too busy to sort!!) but always wondered what it would consist of and taste like. SO would be great to try and give our opinion!
I would love to trial bargain box. We are a busy family of 3. Our 7 year old is finally becoming more adventurous with eating new food.
